A Message to my friends in Africa
| As I search for the words to say, I
can only cry and feel sorrow for your people. That is not my message to
you, but my love as a fellow human. It would be difficult to understand how you
could possibly trust another who is not from your nation. I have never been there,
except in pictures and prayer. But I understand what has occurred. And I apologize
for not standing up to assist you sooner. I have friends on their way home with
pictures and reports of what is occurring. I look forward to what they can tell me. What I know is that the separation between the rich and poor is vast, and that the orphanages are full but hopeful. I know that your land will become the future of this planet, as it was long ago... with its fertile lands and abundant resources and the many gifts it has to offer you and the world. Please be patient, and be vigilant. There are trying times ahead as your people recover, and as the drums of war sound in your ports and in your governments. Please be cautious in your actions so as not to provoke harm to yourselves. I envision my presence in your land, though I don't know when that will occur. But understand, your future is very bright, and the love and care of the people of this world will assist you, and restore your faith and dignity. And you will be loved. Loved as people. As the warm hearts and willing souls you are. God Bless you and keep you until that day. It won't be long. |
