Speaking it into existence... |
|
| To
the media: Remember that you have the power to control the message delivered to the
people. Whatever you speak into existence will occur. Be sure that your phrasing and
the ideas you express reflect the vision you have for the future. That doesn't
necessarily mean expressing a bias or opinion. To general site surfers: In a way, I don't really approach this page as a page I want to have completely public. This is a page where, if you don't follow the trail of the conversation, don't know who I'm addressing or what the issues are, this page will likely just seem weird. Sometimes, I make comments that only 1 person in politics or the media would understand.. sometimes I say general stuff or express my complaints. I just look at it as 1 more example of freedom of speech. Like tv and radio and such they don't have to listen. But often, they do.. some appreciate it, some get angry. That's their right as well :} I have no formal or even indirect affiliation with influence with any media or political figures. I just speak my mind, and sometimes, people listen. Sometimes, I actually say something worth listening to. :} - Editor Favorite remarks from site user: "Good job on keeping things cool and well spoken. Your website exhibits quite a bit of control - your adjectives could include evil bastards every now and again without being extreme." and, regarding a piece I wrote for another purpose called "The Privilege & Honor of Serving A Commitment""...statement is right on and could have been written by me, I have always felt this passionately about justice and equality! The sentiment expressed there is the only viable goal for humanity I think. I think what I'm constantly left with more than anything else is how people always say anything is possible.... until someone tries... and then people tell you it's impossible, or you're crazy... like Cesar Chavez, Martin Luther King, John Adams, Jimmy Carter, Susan B. Anthony... It's a good thing they didn't listen to those who said it couldn't be done... 1/25 7am - Woke up very early thinking about how what I saw yesterday is everything I stand against. The announcer made himself look petty, on a quest for personal vengeance and racist. It was everything that causes Americans to stay away from the polls. And it most definitely makes people like me wonder if they're promoting the right political party. And all is is, quite sincerely, is sad. It's what has me worried about America. And, you know who you are, you did that. People like you do that. And then you wonder why people aren't on your show. 4:40pm - So, I'm sitting here writing about justice and how we need to listen to discussion of facts and ideas and moving forward... and then I watch the tv, and find myself repulsed at what I see and hear. It's embarasing that people who claim to be for free speech seek to suppress it because they clearly have an interest in promoting another candidate. They should declare that. At least be honest about it. It's apparent that the Democratic elite have already decided on Kerry... fortunately, it's the citizens who get to make the choice... BTW... when it comes to me.. take your best shot.. My case is simple. 1/24/2003 Losers... that's funny. Self-impeaching debate is the best kind. Republicans do it all the time. :} So, whoever is sending me these horoscope things in my email must be a political operative. Catch this one You stand at a crossroads. It's time to look at your choices. Adopt a softer, more inclusive line if you want others to remain in this picture and keep supplying what you need from them. Seems like things are right on schedule right now... never as fast as I'd like, but systematically moving forward. Ya'll have a great weekend. Keep you chins up. Great work! Go Raiders! God Bless ya! PS - Just for fun - I'm going to cut a better version of "We Stand" this weekend... it'll begin with the first verse (of 3) 1st verse and chorus.. simple production.. ya'll can still use it... with this one catch now... when people ask, ya gotta tell 'em who wrote it. Otherwise, it's my theme song (I figured I could write another one just for me if ya use it) It's a good tune. The verse part will remind you of a certain performer I admire, and love and hate sometimes. :} Did that on purpose. 1/23/2003 - 3pm... John Kerry and I will have to jam sometime. :} That'll be one to miss. :} So, what did that guy say about AIDS and Gays since he got AIDS himself? Headline: Is there a smoking gun? The covert mission to conceal the Chinese box connection.... :} Had a giggle this morning: what do certain people think when I say things that tend to affiliate myself as part of the Democratic Party? Interestingly, I've already written something that disclaims me from the party, and disclaimes the party from me. I'd actually like to publish a list of people I would consider for certain types of positions, and why, but I wouldn't want to tarnish anyone's reputations :} Maybe it'll seem obvious after I deliver my actual plan of action for my global vision. Note to John McCain... you know I'm a fan, but... it's an interesting notion to think that a show force might compel Arab nations to go "Democracy". But, if the people aren't prepared for it, it will just cause a world at war, one way or another. It could be that if we participated in transactional relationships on a completely honorable basis, and showed respect for sovereign nations and their rights to self-determination, witha vigilant policy of persuing human rights, that the world might choose Democracy by themselves. This whole movement is 15 years too soon. Peace by oppression is not peace. It is a challenge that will demand and elicit confrontation. Remember, I'm no pacifist either. Here's what happens when you TYBOB - :} Not sure whether I'm going to promote it or not, but it's interesting. Monday, January 27, Noon - 1 PM Not In Our Name National Hour of Non-Compliance On Monday, January 27, the date when the UN inspectors are scheduled to deliver their report on Iraq to the UN Security Council, stop what you are doing for one hour and make visible your refusal to cooperate with the Bush Administration on their war on Iraq and destruction of civil rights and liberties. Don't let the Bush Administration use the UN inspectors' report as pretext for war! Don't let them use war as pretext to throw away the Bill of Rights! Date & Time: Monday, January 27, Noon - 1 PM Location: Broad St. & High St., Columbus, OH (on the sidewalk in front of the Statehouse) Bring Your Spirit of Resistance! www.notinourname.net columbusnion@yahoo.com Download the flyer at <http://www.service.ohio-state.edu/students/sif/nion.pdf>. 5pm - So, I met with my PLE advisor today... she suggested that when I'm done being President and grow up and decide what I want to be, we should talk again :} She said that apparently I had to make a choice of degrees I wanted.. between electronics, computer technology, mba, political science, philosophy, psychology or theology... this is the same one who thought I was channeling Shakespeare and Marlowe...my broadcasting instructor, after finding out what I was up to from a student, suggested that she coach me and play my opposite in hypothetical debates in order to get "sharpened up for tv and radio and public events"... that was pretty nice of her. The book is going well. Certain unnamed ( or how does that go? At least one...) non-democrat will love to hate my position... it's a good one, though. Expect a major update by Monday. I'm all set up with on demand publishing... at the same time, I haven't gotten any reject notices lately.... Soon, it will be time to get a haircut :} Can't wait. No more false alarms, I promise. Go RAIDERS!!!! I hope Stabler and Plunkette will be there to rally them on... Raiders and Bucs... who'd have ever imagined... It's a cold, rainy sky-blue kinda day on the edge of the rain forest. I hope all are well. 1/22/2003 - It's a school day! :} 8:30pm - Just thought I'd let you know, the kooks and lunatics liked my last broadcast... they had a few more things to say about the guys on tv, but they would be superfluous at this point. :} Nothin' personal. :} Any time you're out of a guest, I have a webcam :} Prediction: Ted Kennedy will be wrong. Sorry. Ya know how much I love Ted :} Anyone but Bush, though. I can support that! Yep. I'll be covering marijuana. Medical. Recreational. Hemp. Chatting Chuck - Peace - Out :} 1/21/2003 - Writing all these "position papers" is definitely having the desired result... the ability to clearly express the positions... that's why I've been patient in placing myself in the spotlight... I keep sending out emails to various groups about the News in Review.. I always wonder how people receive it.. stats on the site go up, and no one has ever unsubscribed... I'll take that as a good sign. Course, I chuckle a little when I think of how they react to me saying I'll be running for president.. :} People don't expect that... :} It's part of the fun... I figured out what to do about spam and adult sites... (the actual methods) it'll take 2 years to fully implement, primarily because of minor software changes and a slight reorganization of the ICANN database... but it's actually pretty simple. I get over 800 pieces of spam per day... the Republican newsletter started coming after I unsubscribed to a particular company's spam... 3 days later, their newsletter came on that email address. :} Today's topics are war, abortion and the death penalty... which all sort of end up being a discussion of community... I have some definite opinions... but I also think I'll cause people to think of another facet of the premise of abortion opposition... the soul. By Friday, I'll be done with Civil Rights as well. I'm looking forward to the piece on ending the Great American lies... That's the one that causes me the greatest concern... and political prisoners... That's what's on my mind... that, and Ethiopia. What to do? Love ya'll. Be careful out there. :} PS: Hey big guy, great series. I got it. Did you? PSS: I've said plenty of times that I don't think all people in government are corrupt. I think certain processes have corrupted the ability of government to function.. and I do believe there are certain people abusing their power and position for personal and improper political advantage. Americans have a right to know the truth, because it's important for citizens to be mindful of how corruption occurs. It exists. We should not be complacent. The result of complacency, as well as acquiescence in an unappreciated act of compromise and willingness to express trust of intent, is what corrupt individuals count on in order to gain political advantage. It's how racketeering succeeds. 1/20/2003 - noon pt Hiya - You may say that I'm a dreamer That one's actually copyrighted from years ago... part of a song... just the kind of mood I woke up in today. What's on my mind is Martin Luther King... he did so much and endured so much and still pressed on with such grace... Another one of those people whose speeches and writings move and inspire me. With that in mind... It's funny how often I've joked about liking WEA and other AOLTW companies... not like a brand preference, but just sort of somehow always ending up using their products, appreciating working with their people and enjoying their particular brand of art and business philosophy... I could say a great deal more, but I know at the essence of it all is the people who work there.... Anyway... yesterday finally proved something to me... every time I go looking for resources having to do with justice, future energy information, human rights and more... I always end up at an AOLTW sponsored site.. one way or the other... so, I just thought I'd take a moment to say thank you for being my partner in the world... (and to those who don't understand, we have no contact or anything like that) I think everyone who is genuinely working for good is my partner... ya'll are good ones... thanks for being out there and doing what you do. Makes everything seem a little more possible. Time to get to work! :} God Bless Ya! 10:15pm - If I was fully public right now, tonight's report would raise a stir... it will soon. To Peter and Joshua (Jonah?) and gang... Kooks and lunatics don't have to have policies in order to know a bad thing when they see it. They pay people for that. And they feel maybe they want their money back. The real kooks and lunatics are the ones who think that acts of aggresion can create a viable, sustainable world. You all go on tv shows and talk about a variety of subjects. Citizens show a willingnes to gather about the issues they care about, making a collective statement that they don't like this administration and a multitude of its policies. Funny how 200,000 people in Washington DC are given less of a voice than 3 arm chair quarterbacks on tv. Maybe you guys are just too young to remember the 60's to know what you're talking about. I'll bet you think you've REALLY heard classic rock, too? You're all pretty funny. How many top 40 hits did Carole King's classic album Tapestry contain? Bet ya can't guess :} How many songs were released as singles? It's a double trick question. 1/19/2003 -10:40am pt Wolf Blitzer and his production staff should be congratulated for continued incredibly great reporting. I've been cleaning up my office... it looks alot like the office of the guy in Time Machine... :} Gotta make room for volunteers. I'll be glad to get someone working on the web stuff... I've had extreme carpal tunnel for months... yikes... I think Gary Hart is great... he's the first candidate I could support... depending on what he has to say now... I would have quit my job to work for him years ago. Just don't know how others will receive him. 'Specially the young ones. Someone told me the other day... "maybe the press thinks you're conning them." Fair appraisal. Let me just say, there's always a question whether a campaign like mine can succeed, but I assure you, I'm serious about this. There's no game going on. In my class, for Prior Learning Experience, they ask the question "What would you do if you got a degree"... My answer: run as a more credible/qualified presidential candidate. I'd sure love to be out urging the protesters on. Cast topics for tomorrow. MLK's Birthday. The perverse reversal of the use of the words "Racial Discrimination" by Bush & CO. The propaganda by Bush on N. Korea. Paper tiger credibility vs justice. The Stones were GREAT! Still waiting for the Kung Pow sequel... 1/18/2003 - All sorts of stuff going on. All my effort is going into writing up positions on specific issues... except for the bumper sticker graphic, of course, by request from Honolulu... soon, there will be stickers and posters in San Francisco. Got a call last night from someone in the midwest who said they wanted to be sure to be listed as my first contributor.... :} Definitely gotta get the paperwork done. Told ya this would be a different kind of campaign... what else would you expect from me? You'd be disappointed otherwise, wouldn't ya? :} Wouldn't ya know it... my writing class focuses on writing about yourself.. part of a Prior learning program.. I'm so tired of writing about myself... After this web site, what would YOU write in a double spaced 3 page autobiography? :} Crazy. Generational Warfare. Definitely a part of it. 2 points. You'll get your roll of quarters. :} Why does George declare war on everything? The George Bush Global Unilateral Myopian Doctrine of Pre-emptive Aggression for Peace. They should use it. Fits the marketing plan. Lots of pretty words that mean something other than what we would assume was intended. Like I joked about my crazy dog... when in doubt, attack. Just a passing thought. :} PS.. I have no qualms about speaking up on current political issues. I worry about the 60's too. Feb 2nd Fundraiser... some great ngo-type activists will be there. Better get the paperwork done :} By next Wednesday, the word will be out amongst the college staff. I love ripples. :} I draw the line. And I win. :} I sound tough, don't I? :} Have a great weekend... music soon (I love bein' a dj) PEACE!!!
