Speaking it into existence...
The Media Review
and Messages to Political Leaders
Thoughts & Comments

To the media: Remember that you have the power to control the message delivered to the people.  Whatever you speak into existence will occur. Be sure that your phrasing and the ideas you express reflect the vision you have for the future. That doesn't necessarily mean expressing a bias or opinion.

To general site surfers: In a way, I don't really approach this page as a page I want to have completely public. This is a page where, if you don't follow the trail of the conversation, don't know who I'm addressing or what the issues are, this page will likely just seem weird.  Sometimes, I make comments that only 1 person in politics or the media would understand.. sometimes I say general stuff or express my complaints.  I just look at it as 1 more example of freedom of speech.  Like tv and radio and such they don't have to  listen. But often, they do.. some appreciate it, some get angry.  That's their right as well :} I have no formal or even indirect affiliation with influence with any media or political figures. I just speak my mind, and sometimes, people listen. Sometimes, I actually say something worth listening to. :} - Editor

Favorite remarks from site user:

"Good job on keeping things cool and well spoken.  Your website exhibits quite a bit of control - your adjectives could include evil bastards every now and again without being extreme."

and, regarding a piece I wrote for another purpose called

"The Privilege & Honor of Serving A Commitment"

"...statement is right on and could have been written by me, I have always felt this passionately about justice and equality!  The sentiment expressed there is the only viable goal for humanity I think.

11/30/1:15am pt - It has often surprised me how it seems certain people read and respond to this site, particularly this section... I cna never really tell if what I perceive is a response to this or just that I'm sort of on the same track as many others... then it comes to the apocalyptic stuff... I was in a great mood, just finished the latest report... then I clicked on the Alistair Cooke link, and found the article "Armagaeddon Can Wait"..   I thought, okay.

Since I opened this site, and found Alistair Cooke for the first time... and realized.. especially back then, I was writing stuff alot like he did... I read the part about "What makes him tick" and actually try to remind myself of his style, and use the same principles for the books... but what has astounded me is how on 1 occasion, his column was almost like a direct response to something I wrote, specifically pertaining to the storms in Europe and Asia.. and extreme weather... it was the week after I posted the link to the article "What the Bible Says About The Times We're In"  and he wrote "Keep Your Shirt On" and poo-pooed the idea of a possible Apocalyptic time... since then, he's written 3 more columns on his own similar observation. And has agreed. Even in "Armageddon Can Wait" he makes light of what's occurring, but states his opinions that we are approaching apocalyptic times, and doesn't ever back off of it.

Now, all along, I've actually been looking at things more in a hope and desire to prove that I'm wrong... and every day I see more evidence... and now, Alistair again. And, frankly, I haven't found a single person able or willing to have an intelligent discussion on it all... and by able, I mean having done enough studying to understand the concepts and chronologies...   like in that interview with Robertson, the interviewer really knew what he was discussing...  where would you go to find someone who understands and can discuss these things?

The News is going to turn into a weekly   Week In Review... I'm going to make sure I'm not stepping on anyone, but I think it was suggested to me somewhere along the way.. :} and then I'm going to do a 2nd report per week which will be more thematic... more focused... I think people are so off the mark about what the real issues are, I feel like I have to do everything including building the basic foundation of knowledge... in order to have them understand what's going on underneath what they see on tv and in the movies...

Bill.. Above and Beyond.  Above the rules, beyond comprehension.

Bill... Outside the Box

Back when I used to play football, I was this short skinny kid who, on defense, played linebacker.  They couldn't figure out how I was always able to do 4-5 sacks and intercept a couple of passes and stop a few runs every game... cause I was one of the smallest guys on the field... they called me Mr. Wiggle... because I could slip between guys without them even knowing I was there... just like I figured out some footwork for pass receivers that is absolutely indefensible... but I can always find a hole to squeeze through, and there's always an alternative... if things continue to go the way they're shaping up, I see a big hole developing up the middle. :}

And I think I've come up with a way to "raise" South Africa, if the government will allow it.  Remember how I once said it seemed like I was going to go to Africa and lead the children?  Given the conditions, a whole replicatable structure needs to be put in place that educates and feeds and protect their next generation.. a 20-30 year plan... and I think I know how to cause it.  The next few weeks will tell a great deal about that one.  Keep your fingers crossed.

2:30 pm  - One of the things Billy loved to talk about was playing with the Beatles.. he'd smile that big grin and shake his head the way head does.  And he'd say "If the Beatles ever get together for a re-union, I'll be there. I really was the fifth Beatle."  Then he'd blush a little and make me promise not to ever publish that he said that. :}  Good to see him at the Harrison tribute.

11/29/2002 - 1pm pt:

It's been a fun morning...I don't want to turn on the news for some reason.. that's unusual.

Some people hit me with some talk about my possible run for the presidency... deep down I wonder if anyone out there has a clue about how I'd run a campaign... people would have a lot of fun, and I'd get a chance to tell all the bad jokes I haven't had the chance to tell over the years... :}  I have a ton of them... We've been thinking of slogans for bumper stickers... stuff like "Charles for President 2004... he doesn't know how to do it, but, apparently, neither does anyone else"  We'll call it The Rutles campaign strategy. :} And you probably think I'm joking. On the other hand, how do I try out for the Barry Williams show?

Guess I'll go check the news. Reality calls.  It does that from time to time... :}

The Johnny Cash interview was something else. I've had 2 people tell me stories of their dreams.. after telling me, I asked them about their religion and if they've ever read the Bible and Revelations... and their basic answers were that they had littl eor no knowledge.. but they both described nearly identical dreams ofthe apocalypse... just like his. Spooky.

Hey buddy, don't know what's going on, but I worry 'bout ya sometimes. Be good to yourself, you deserve it.  Still your biggest fan. :}

1:15pm pt: The Calaveras fault is much more dangerous than the San Andreas... other than shake damage, it would take out the raillines, as well as threaten the chemical tanks and, according to massive reports from KPIX, KGO, KNTV 89-92.. would launch numerous deadly gas clouds.

PS: There are some ways to voice track a station, but, since I know AOL was looking for a PD for a multi-format streaming site... (I'd have applied if I had the formal credentials) I ain't giving this stuff away.. you'll hear it online in a few months... here's the key though... program in sets, not song by song.  Really skews the Q's, and removes some of the quirks of voice tracking.  Check out KNDE Sacramento, circa 1975 if you can... I knew they were automated, and I could barely tell.  I doubt the listeners could. Still, they were going track by track.

11/28/2002 - Sittin here watching the X-Files - The air traffic controllers strike in France kind of changed plans for us a little.. we'll be eating turkey tomorrow.. :}

What's being reported about fundamental extremists is what I was hoping wasn't going on.. that's disturbing... makes things musch more complex... sometimes I think the news media knows stuff and doesn't tell us because they think we can't handle the truth... too much of a shock.. personally, Ithink people need a little shock towake them up.. part of why Idon't do reports as often is because I have to wait till the pattern develops.

I thought I was going out on a limb regarding the Cantor book, and talking about repetitions of history, and ecological problems and collapses of cultures and natures by biomedical means reducing the ability of a nation to supply a workforce capable of sustaining them...  that's what the Cantor book talks about in terms of "the end of the world" or catastrophic occurrances, at least.  So, I say all that, figure it adds to the list of things people will say I'm "nuts" over, and then the story comes out of Africa... a perfect model of what the Cantor book says... UN:AIDS is cause of food crisis

And I write about the Bible, and people who supposedly support the more Religious Fundamentalist government we have, who think I'm delusional because I read and talk about the Bible.  So I have to say again, do we, as a culture, believe in the things we claim in terms of our faith and Christianity?  If so, why do we spend so much time resisting what we believe in.

So, I watch tv interviews and I ask myself the same questions the dignitaries get asked.. and I consider them... what I believe and think... how I would handle it... all that stuff.. given the things I'm talking and thinking about doing, it's an appropriate inquiry.  And I look around, and see how much we make fun of passionate people in the world, and how we ostracize people who try to make a difference, and actually discourage people from getting involved.

And then I think about how I know what kinds of things I'm capable... what I believe the responsibilities of a citizen are, the responsibilities of human beings one to another... the things I've been taught..the things I learn everyday... as I dig deeper and deeper and deeper...

I believe I've been blessed with many skills... and, until now, I haven't really felt a need to focus on anything and apply everything I have to offer.  I see a number of arenas where I could make a difference.  Just like I know I could make it in music with not a whole lot more effort than I put into it now, and I little time to allow it to become natural to me. I could be a politician, lead non-profits, do public speaking, talk-radio.. the question is, how can I make the greatest difference?  That's all that matters to me.

I see the world as being an incredibly wonderful, bountiful place... someone once told me that what they found most intriguing about me is how I've gone through a great deal, and still thought the world was a fabulous place to be... and it's true.

But I see what's going on, and I see what needs to be done... and I know that I don't know what I don't know.. but if I did, I could make a much greater difference... that's why I wish I was on the inside of things, rather than out here trying to figure out patterns of things that are old news to people on the front lines of the news... I do understand that difference...

I've gone about setting up as many possibilites for myself as I can.. to see which one takes hold... because I don't really know which path will make the greatest difference. I don't want to make a mistake on this choice at this juncture.  Because I honestly don't know what would make the greatest difference.  I just know I owe it to myself and the world I live in to give it all I've got.  And I will never, ever, be embarrassed or ashamed for having done that. Though I do feel a little guilty for not having done what I knew I should have done long ago, to fully engage and get involved, so there is a great sense of urgency to me to make up for lost time.

If that's silly... if that's really too hard to understand, then I really do belong in a stick cabin in the hills. It would be better for everyone. :}

I wish I was wrong about most of the stuff I'm right about... I really do.. and I don't say that to pat myself on my back... I say it as an expression of my sadness at what is occurring. And an illustration of why I am compelled to find a way to make a difference.

11/27/2002 -

Have a great Thanksgiving, and be safe!!! God bless you all.

Everybody's got their own demons.  That's the whole point. If we, as people would embrace and accept that, maybe we could all start acting like the caring people we are, instead of walking around, being offended, and always faking that eveything's alright.   I think having a positive outlook is a great thing... I think I actually have a much more positive outlook than you think.. Like I say, I think that what I say and address is more like what many people think than the storylines being played out in the news. And I don't mean that as a criticism. If you don't want to know what I have to say, don't read it.  That's not a challenge, you just have that right. So do I. I don't think I'm the center of the universe.  I just see certain things that are possible, and I believe I know some ways to accomplish them. And they all should generate something good in the end.

I am really pleased with the responses I am receiving from the Memory of JFK report... sales of the Prince are about to go up.

I made a remark the other day about people and companies adopting phrases that I'v ewritten about... that was not a complaint... in fact, I don't have any real illusion about them having read the site.. I think it's just more synchronicity.. given the companies, and the people I happen to know from years ago (not close friends, working acquaintances, etc) it doesn't surprise me at all that they would end up coming to the same conclusions. Long stories not worth telling. Here there and everywhere. Except for music and text tht would be logically copyrighted, I hope lots of people come to the same conclusions. I think they will:}

Took 5 days to figure out how to do the JFK report... the next one is even more delicate... probably have it online by tomorrow.  Almost done.  Just have to lighten it up a little. I have a Thanksgiving story from last year that'll make you shake your head just like I did when it happened.

Too bad about all the spots.. I always have listened and looked at everything as having some message or information to share... believe it or not (somehow, I think you'll believe this:} but I actually videotaped the ones I like... there have been some incredible spots that people should receive awards for... the best I've ever seen on tv in terms of provoking people to think...

The part of the book that I like writing is the part where I have to admit my own biases and stuff... it's embarrassing to actual dissect it and see that it's actually there..  like... noticing that I was trained to be racially  predjudiced... either by my parents or tv shows showing black people always hating and wanting to hurt, rape and harm white people... one time, after interviewing Billy Preston, who's one of my all time favorites... he even invited me to his ranch, we had such a good time.. and then I went to the freeway and my car broke down on the edge of watts... at sunset... I guess I just figured out how to fit this story (one of my favorites) into the book..  and it had to be external stuff like tv that trained me.. in all my time in school... I remember having 1 black girl in my kindergarten class, and we were friends... and then 1 black boy, we were friends, from 1st grade thru 2nd year of junior college... no bad experiences... just tv... interesting... I loved going to Motown Records, too.  This going to be a good one.. A Study in Predjudice...  don't take that wrong, folks.  It's classism... people think when people say classism, they mean rich vs poor people... when someone accuses another of classism, the accuser is being classist too.  It's one of those tools of domination.  Classism is not aristocracy.  I finally had to say that, for those who were offended before. We saw the movie, now we need to have a discussion of how classism causes oppression and empowers domination.

Second, I was having the conversation tonight for the millionth time with a friend about how I write all this stuff.. note I don't leave it up too long, because I'm really not trying to get this page out to a lot of people.... and I don't even REALLY know if anyone reads it, though I know they do... anyway, we always get a kick out of that, and my initial preference not to look at the stats on the website early on so I wouldn't change the vision of what I was doing before it had a chance to be tested.  It's kind of like tv and radio, if you tune in, it's here. Just trying to "change the future" as all those movies taunted us to do :}

Enough silliness.. well not really, but.. Kudos to Aaron for the excellent handling of the Saudi Story... MS was incredible on the Robertson interview... You ever notice how financial reporters don't smile much on days when the market is down?

To Bob: It's not that the world is coming to an end, but it could.  And this is not a fear driven arguement.  I could point to alot of books that make alot of sense.. but the Norman Cantor book In the Wake of the Plague, combined with the chronological, repetitive and similar reports of both prophecy and history in the Bible... add it all together, and there are an incredible number of conditions occurring in the world that coincide with potential disaster on a number of fronts.

A suggestion.. check out the Cantor Book... it's cheap and an easy read.. did it in 2 hours.. and then look around the world in terms of weather, volcanic and seismic activity, the fires and dry lightning over the summer... don't look at it as global warming... just look at what is actually occurring.  And there are a couple things going on that, if we humans don't get it together, could mean the end of the world.. if the only thing that means to you is whether you live or die... none of that was said critically.

Finally.. I've read the Bible 3 times and the only time I got worried was when I saw the SLA symbol,.. thought, this is weird.. I've been reading the whole thing...4th time... lots of cross references.. and other books to verify and provide scientific authentification.. Been doing this for a few months now.. if you take it as pure repetition of human and natural events, it makes a lot more sense.  Then, after reading it like that, apply whatever faith values you want.  How long has it been since you actually read the Bible like a book to understand? As opposed to just going to church or something. I thought I understood it before.  This is the first time I actually did understand it.

By the way, the truth in it all is that the Bible doesn't say that one religion is better than another.  The only requirement, if you believe the new testament, is that people believe that God (by whatever name, in a monotheist context) believe that God had a son who gave his life to save them and absolve and/or forgive them of sin...  and just for the record, because there seems to be some misunderstanding.. there's the Son of Man, the Son of God/Christ, and God.  The first is the divine human having the responsibility of causing peace through reconciliation of the religions, and then the return of Christ. Just wanted to set that record straight. The Son of Man is not Christ.

And for GW: The part you seem to be confused about is that peace by oppression and domination  is not peace, and does not count in the full 7 years. It's not negotiable. It's disappointing, but, get over it. Really. Spare us. :}

Okay, Bill Maher's going to be on. I give up. You knew I would. But I hope you respect one thing:  this was my protest.  I understand that people have to play stuff on the news that isn't of my persuasion. I don't mind that.  But, my brother, who I use as a focus group... if pollsters only asked him, and noone else, I sear he'd give you the national concensus 99.9% of the time... he thought Saddam was crazy 5 months ago.. and the only news he gets is NBC. He had no other way of being educated about things.  That's what I object to. Anybody ever bother talking to someone who likes him?  Like I said, I've defended you guys, taken heat for it... and the only thing I've ever really asked for.. demanded of everyone I contact n this topic... and I really do... is that the opinions fronted as news, and casting a definite slant, be ended.  I know it's alot to ask, for one guy on a website. Whatever.  That's part of my "mission"... and I'm still here. I was 2 days away from launching a full boycott on another network.  You'd a liked it.  Can't really do it now, for awhile.  Oh well.  See, there are always costs/benefits on all sides.

PS - I sent a tape of 5 songs to Johnny Cash in 68 or 69. :}

2pm - Thought you might find this interesting: When I heard there were protesters outside the CNN studios, I posted this article immediately.  Then I watched Mon 7 am et thru 1pm et and I pulled it. What I heard is the very kind of stuff for which the title of chapter 1 of my second book is named: That upon which I declare war...

Funny that Please Please Me came out today in 64.  Here's a mix I made for something else that seems to be somewhat relevant. Fleetwood Mac's Chains works both ways too.

The answer to immigration is not in the numbers, it's in what they do when they get here. And what they do is provide a work force that will do the menial labor that US workers are too spoiled and "above" being willing to do.  Another diguised version of classism.  Inevitably, it will bring down the standard of living of all Americans, making it more economically compatible with the rest of the world's economies and will lead the way for things like the FTAA.  Maybe corps will have less profits if immigration is reduced, but who said the only thing that matters is profit margin?   The rich?

Immigrants pay into, but do not recieve, social security. Citizen or not.

For the record: I would vote for Begala.. I never said I was Jesus, I don't think I'm a prophet.. and I'm just a Christian who's been reading the Bible alot,and see that we have a number of choices, one of which is destroy ourselves out of stupidity or a misinterpretation of the Bible and believe that hastening the second coming is a good thing... the Bible disagrees.  At the same time, now that abstinence is gong to be an issue... I know why I felt to write that story about Crazy Eve... if ya missed it... it was about abstinence... too bad.  But, it wasn't about not having sex, it was about removing those things, like sex, from a relationship until it was clear there was a real relationship.  I don't see anything (so far) in the Bible that says people shouldn't have sex either.  Says nothing about marriage.

----------------

Like I said, trust is a terrible thing to waste.

You may think that I sit out here and throw tantrums and "pass   judgement" on things... in a way, I suppose it's true... but, ever since I opened this site, what I've been demanding is truth and integritry.. and I believe I've held myself to the same standards.  The difference is, I admit that what I do is propaganda... whether it's good or bad is subjective.  But I don't call what I talk about as being "hard news"... and just like when I begin my campaigns... I'm going to call everything what it is.  If it makes people mad, I would suggest its because they either honestly disagree, or because they'll feel guilty about what they're doing and participating in.  Check out tonight's report to get the full story on this.  It's all about how our government and corporations push everyone else around.. there is no negotiation or compromise... just, do it my way, or I'll destroy you. That's the way of the world.  And it's just plain wrong.  No wonder the world is on the edge of war.

What part of it are you willing to take responsibility for? Probably none.  That's why people like me have to teach people how to find alternatives to big business and the way our government works these days.  Feel free to be offended... if you ever want to have a debate to prove me wrong, feel free.  I'll win, in an objective discussion.   But of course, the media will not really allow that, will they?

I'm the bad guy... but I'll still be the one focusing on the Bush states. Otheres will benefit from it, and I'll still be the bad guy with the "status quo".  I'm cool with that. At least I won't be selling out.

I feel sorry for Wachovia.

11/26 11am -

Interesting sidenote.  From time to time, I talk about the power of the mind and psychic energt and all.. it's funny because I don't think anything special about that stuff... I believe everyone has the ability to do it... kind of like talking... if you develop the skill....  A couple of weeks ago I commented on how if I try to "predict things", it doesn't work out. But, sometimes things just sort of occur to me mentally, like a nagging thought, and it almost always relates to something that occurs in a day or a week or so..  so last night's Bible study was in Ephesians and Thessalonians.. and it was all about a warning of the danger of  trying  to figure things out on an intellectual or logical veiin, vs allowing things to "come to you", and that the things you try ot figure out, or attempt to rationalize based on law and such, would be incorrect.  Seems to hold true. Just one more thing I accept without trying to understand :}

Another interesting sidenote... wasn't going to mention it til the Union got going more... but our ties to Unicef run very, very deep.  Over the years, the memeberso of this household have assisted with fundraising and many projects....

Good thing I own my own canoe.

11/25/2002 - Todd Rundgren: Once burned, twice removed.

Insanity is believing that peole who benefit so much from the status quo would actually want to change it.

Uncommon wisdom is accepting that which you hoped you would never have to believe.

4:30 pm Mark 3:22 thru 4:29 explains the protesters. :}

11/24 1:30pm pt

There's something I just can't seem to ignore... did you notice that in the discussions today, they talked about George Bush in terms of use of power, and with great deal of respect for authority, and  a sort of aire about them like "of course we're going to war" in order to generate thepublic perception of inevitability thereby causing an attitude of public acceptance... it's straight out of Goering...  but when talking about Gore, or any political opponent, including Canada and Germany, there's always a dissection of motives and strategies in order to cause an aura of confusion and lack of focus... anything to mis-direct the conversation from the issues. And to diminish the stature and expertise of the person they're doing it to.  This can either be done in return, or,  nullified.  This is where watching tapes of what's her name Coulter would be very useful.  She doesn't execute it well, but the structure of her responses and the way she mis-directs is textbook... absolute textbook... and you have to give up being polite about people butting in... say what they're doing on the air... expose the tactic... that's what they do.  That's what you need to do.  We know that "extreme discussion" causes extreme reaction... what extreme discussion can you cause generate that nullifies the verbal assaults?

What worked about Costner in the Postman was in the thing Holn says at the end of the movie when he and the Postman were about to fight one and one for leadership of the clan of the circle of 8.  Holn said, "You can't win because  you have nothing to fight for".  What empowers you to do what is required, to be at your best, is determined by your estimation of the threat you face.  In a "business as usual" environment, what's occurring on the airwaves is entertainment.  The news is good, but limited by formatics and such... just as the number of my webcasts is better less often because... like the Repubs... I am trying to communicate how to recognize the tactics and trends... and web traffic turns over slower... and people are looking for real answers, the ability to distinguish trends from the headlines and public facades.

But it has to relate to people's lives... not poll results and statistics... what made Perot's charts effective is the clear demonstration of trends. Remember, they made fun of his charts, and he just kept showing them.  And he dared people to laugh at him.   He understood that their enemy was the truth, it wasn't personal. He knew that his audience was not fellow politicians, but the people he was communicating to, the voters.   And he treated those voters like intelligent partners. As does Jesse Ventura, whether you agreee with him or not.  Ronald Reagan said always hit the ground running, and do something... something. People like Ventura because they don't have to wonder if he's really saying what he thinks.  Agree with him or not, people know they can trust him to say what he really thinks.  In its essence, it's nothing but quantifiable.

Peace by oppression is not peace.

10:30pm -

I look at what's happening in the world and it saddens me every bit as much as it makes me more committed. I told you what was going on in Africa.. and finally someone had the courage to say it in public.

You look at the numbers on consumer confidence, and the numbers on confidence in the media, and then confidence in Bush, and you can't help but notice that the numbers are not consistent with the profile of a unified nation, or one satisfied in its leadership. I really do mean all that as an observation. You do see the profile of one that's scared and confused.

So far, I've identified 7 distinct historical and sociological patterns occurring at this juncture, and 2 more I hope I'm wrong about... it's amazing. And that's all based on reputable authors and historians. What a tangled web we weave.

We press forward. :}
