9/19/2002 -

It's hard to know how to tell you what I want to tell you tonight... there won't be alot of giggling or funny jokes about synchronicity... although I'll talk about it some... what I want to do... what I have to do is talk to you about the future of this planet.. and what I have to say may very well save your life.  I beg you, I pray that you to listen to what I have to say.. and I promise you it's not about promoting me... it's about empowering you.  Because you, all of you listening, are the people who will make a difference now. Not me.  But I hope that I can motivate you.

The synchronicity I'll talk  about... relates to a certain musician I really like... I was talking about Burger King and Lovin every Minute of it and Art Garfunkel... and a certain album called Watermark that Art Garfunkel recorded years ago... There's a particular song on it that's incredibly poignant called "What A Wonderful World This Would Be"... and the mysetrious link of synchronicity it contains... is a special trio of Art Garfunkel, Paul Simon and... you guessed it... James Taylor.  The songs of James Taylor have shaped and guided my life since his first album... and they have guided through the best of times and worst of times... and I've always known I'd have the chance to meet him and hug him and thank him.  Who knows if that will actually occur.

But, I don't believe in coincidences... I believe we are all guided in life... to meet people, to have experiences... just as I believe we are all put on this earth to serve a purpose greater than ourselves... and the test, the proof, comes in the persistence, the commitment we have to being who we say we really believe we are.

Some people say they always thought they were meant to be doctors, lawyers, ditch diggers.. a mother.. a father... a leader... a follower... And the beauty is that all vocations, all postions in life have their place.  Some paths are more common..   Some paths require the faith of other people to honor the beliefs they say they base their lives on.

Finally, as a preface, I'll say that I was raised to alwys  look for the wisdom in cliches, because they became cliches for a reason.. because they succinctly express ideals and disciplines.  Tonight, I'll say the most important cliches I've ever heard are "History Repeats Itself", "To Thine Own Self  Be True", and "It's Not Whether You Can, It's Whether You Will."  Think about those cliches as I speak, and decide for yourself what they mean, and then do what you feel called to do.  That's what I'm going to do now, for myself.  I'm going to share it with you, because there are things you need to know.

I'm going to start on the theme that we all know the truth about ourselves...the things that drive us, the things that shape our opinions and beliefs... this is my truth.

Since the time I was a small child (and you can look at "Corruption and Me" above to view a history that bears this out)... since the time I was a young child, I knew I had a purpose in life.. the same feeling most people get about themselves, and ignore because the responsibility is too great or because it requires us to take actions that are un comfortable and aren't easy.  The same is true for me.

I knew from the time I was a small child, that I was put on this planet to cause world peace and abundance for all.. I told that to someone yesterday, and they told me that people like me have trouble focusing, and that I should find  specialty.  And I replied "I do have a specialty, causing world peace and abundance for all". And he shook my hand, told me it was very interesting talking to me, and sent me on my way.

And i understand why.  What I have to say, what I have to do, is Biblical, it's historical, it's important.  And, like I said in earlier writings on this site... what I really wanted to do in life was move to Oregon, grow organic vegetables and foods, and build a big wall around the property to wall the world out... because I just couldn't take the pain I feel when I see  people homeless and hungry, victimized by those who take all they want without care for those they harm... it hurts me to see animals treated like throw away toys and expendable food sources.. and I've mentioned that I knew that no matter how high or how strong that wall is, that the troubles of the world would find me no matter what...  and now they have.

I've made mention to the chapters and verses in the Bible that guide me.  The heritage I've been provided to cause me to take action when the time comes... and the time is now.  The parts of the Bible that guide me most are found in Ezekiel and Revelations.  And I can't tell you I know all the truth, I can only tell you that I know what I know, see what I see... and, without my own knowledge, since beginning this website, I have been doing everything that God would have me do. And everything I've done has been because of praying and then doing what I felt compelled to do.  And now that I know, now that it's not just about blind faith, but knowledge as well, I am compelled to reveal what I know, and be someone in the world who empowers you to cause heaven on earth.

You could call me Luke, Jude, Daniel, Joshua, Charles or David... and there are many more names which would be symbolic of my mandate... I am told by Germans that my last name, though common, literally translates to the words Son of Man.  And while few people will understand the significance of that without reading the book of Ezekiel,   what has been revealed to me convinces me that that is who I am, or, at least, that is the role I have been chosen to be at this point in the history of humanity, of this planet, of this heaven on earth.

But there are serious choices to be made... by the people of this planet.  We need to either overcome the denial and resignation in our hearts, or lose this planet and our souls to the evil that is attempting to seize control of this planet. And it is difficult to make those decisions and choices that are necessary because of the deceptions that are occurring in the world... the most hainous of deceptions in the name of God... as described in the books of Matthew and Luke and Ezekiel... the bulk of which is contained in the link littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) What the Bible Says About the Times We're In .  The beauty of it all is that you don't need to believe me. I don't have to make this stuff up.   Just read the Bible, and trust your heart, and do what you feel you must do.   I can't save the world.  Only you can do that.  One person, one family, one church group...  And the time is now.

By the way, the Bible says I will be ridiculed... it says that you will hear what I have to say, you will read what I have to say, and you will run from it.. and I understand that.  But the Bible also says that you will be back... and I believe that too.   I have faith in God... the same God I believe that all true religions and disciplines respect and worship.   The same faith that is present everytime I sit down to compose this broadcast... because I truly never know what I'm going to say.

Those who will criticize and persecute me for what I am saying may tell you even the truth about me and my past... that's the beauty of being the Son of Man... I am human. And I won't spend any time trying to convince you to follow the things I propose... and it's irrelevant whether I am this man I speak of.  What's important is the mission I have been called to lead.  And if you agree with what I say, then agree, and if you disagree, speak up, because your voice is equally important.

All I can tell you is that I, like you, must choose a path from this moment forward that is the truest expression of who we are... not what we believe the world demands... but what we feel compelled and called to be.  Our lives begin again every second of the day.  Judge me as you would judge yourself.  Forgive me as you would have yourself be forgiven.  Let your faith be not in the words and deeds of men, but in the truth of the word of God.

I am one who has experienced a great number of indignities and inhumanities that could be perpetrated upon people.  and that was on purpose, to allow me to understand. I regret none of it, and embrace most of it as incredibly important lessons.   So that I would know and remember what it is like to be one of the so-called unimportant, the starving, the disenfranchised and betrayed... I understand the pain and anguish... and so my time has come to lead, because I cannot bear to witness the injustice and pain of it all any longer... it is time for me to end it.  Not for me, but for you.

Because God never intended for any of us to suffer.  Because I so love people, and so believe that our planet is the heaven God promised.  Just as he gave us free will. Because he so wanted you to love Him, and to choose his path instead of feeling you are forced to comply with tyranny.  That is the choice we must make beginning now.   The past is the past.  What matters is who we are now, who we will be, in the next moment, in the next hour, and in the coming years until the rest of our lives.

Things you need to know.

America is the crowned jewel of the world... it is described as such in the Bible.   And God requires us to be the symbols and keepers of justice throughout the world. The alternative is to face likely destruction.

The events described in Ezekiel and Revelations is occurring in the world right now.   Plants and anials and people are being mercilessly killed all over the planet.   We face attack from the animals and bacteria that we have turned out backs on for all of our history.  We have plundered this planet to the brink of inability to sustain life.  And we threaten it more with the war of wars, the battle between God and the Devil.  It's not a metaphorical interepretation of the world. It's the truth.

We are witnessing the beginnings of the famines, pestilence and drought predicted nearly 2000 years ago... in the Seattle area, residents are not aware that because of pollution and lack of rain, this region is within 3 years of losing a viable, sustainable water supply.

The Red Sea, as predicted in the Bible, is beginning to dry up.  People there are actually assembling a pipeline to feed more water to it from the ocean.

The Bible speaks of the flesh eaters... hard to tell the exact source of this scourge, but it appears that the gorillas and monkeys of the world, who have nearly as much intelligence and skill as us, are beginning to be quite annoyed at us for destorying their home... in Vietnam, a rare species of Gibbons has been located, though presumed to have been extinct, in a pack of 26.  The bear attacks recently present the same problem.   We, as humans, have taken the approach that controlling them means killing them. That makes them angry. They have every right to live on this planet  We have no right to dominate it as we do.

A herd of 200 deer were killed in Pennsylvania last week... supposedly by a mysterious virus, after motorists complained of rising insurance costs due to the incidence of hitting deer with their cars.  Ducks are disappearing from the Great Lakes because of pollution.

Gonnorhea test kits... as many as 700,000 had to be recalled because of  false negative test results... a syphillus epidemic has hit Chicago... on the East Coast, nearly 90% of all bacterial infections are resistant to anti-biotics.

In Virigina, there resides a "gene-splicer"... a man from Russia so skilled at genetic engineering that he can create life as most of us would make coffee in the morning... one of the recent results of the genetic engineering that has been presented to the world is a mouse called Mighty Mouse... this mouse has qualities bred into it that officials describe as "having the potential to increase human endurance"... and when more fully manipulated, is capable of producing sieman that will produce sheep and pigs.  God truly only knows what else is being concocted.  And what has gotten loose.

All of this genetic engineering is a time-bomb waiting to go off.  If it hasn't already. Scientists have found ways to bring the dead back to life... and even though these living dead do only the most basic things... eating is one of them.  They must find their food somewhere... imagine an army of people previously dead at the beck and call of an evil leader.

And you thought Night of the Living Dead and Planet of the Apes and Breakout were all science fiction. Now, it's the new version of  Time Machine,  Resident Evil, Signs, the Patriot, The Postman... there are many movies that will tell you what is to come... if we don't change the future now.  And we can.  The funny thing is, I decided on the words "Change the Future" for the union just a couple of minutes before that instruction was given to Froto in The Hobbit.  Try reading Dune.

But it doesn't have to happen.  It might.  We have a choice.  And I'll tell you more about that. But there are other things you ned to know.

We, in the United States have lived on the premise of being a free and just society... that is the heritage, the story of our culture.  But as in so many cultures, it is not the truth.  We were sold out long ago.  You may not know that most of the signers of the Declaration of Independence died mysterious, untimely deaths.  This was the vengeance wreaked upon them for defying King George.

King George swore  that he would, indeed, get America back for his kingodom.   Just as the countries of Egypt and Jordan and others were divided up between   the strongest nations back in the late 1800's.

In1911, our president sold out.  He installed an institution called the Federal Reserve Board... and he did it by passing legislation while Congress was in recess, and did so in an act of poitical bribery under the guise of the interests of national security to retian Presidential Powers.  This was done to facilitiate the pyramid scheme of the New World... to allow an independent agency to manage and loan our money to us at a very high price... While not all ascribe to this, the American Bar Association is actually a British Organization. Those who go by the title Esquire are part of it.  And they are not legally allowed to hold elected office in the United States.  Not would anyone receiving a title from a foreign country, such as Knighthood.

The vast right wing conspiracy has been in the works for a long, long time.

George Bush is, by blood, related to Winston Churchill and Princess Diana.  The Bush family in past generations has a reputation for affiliation with countries who seek to overthrow the United States... including Germany during World War II.

10/19/2001 -  From Hitler To Saddam Hussein to Osama bin Laden - Insider Connections and the Bush Family’s Partnership with Killers of Americans

And there is a group of people from a certain Ivy League School who are in cahoots with each other, directing traffic on elections and national policy  called the Skull & Bones... you'd be amazed who's a member... including George Bush. And you'd be appalled at the "initiation".  Including oral sex with a member of the same sex.  I have a list of the members. So do many, many other people.  And all are afraid to tell for fear of losing their lives.

Add to that the people and organizations who were part of the Bretton Woods Conference.. designed to plan the future of global dominations since the 1940's.  It spawned the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank... considered by activists in the know as the evil empire.  They have a stated policy of rebuilding and assisting nations.. and they almost do that... until they bring countries to their knees by causing them to go into such extreme debt with loans, and then sabotaging them on what are called free markets... until they are put in the position of bankruptcy and their people become ill and illiterate and thusly, lose their rights and human dignity to poverty and tortuous death.

And the organizations involved in that, the people who are involved in that, include the major oil companies of the world and the families who own them.  Many of them are people I've been associated with in my own work, and who are otherwise good people... inside the charade we call the American political system...

And that political system is responsible for the manipulation of our financial systems.   For a purpose.  One of the greatest manipulations of them all was the CIA complicity with the assassination of John Kennedy.  George Bush SR has been noted in many sources as having ties to Kennedy's assasin, Lee Harvey Oswald.  And I can personally vouch for information related to the involvement of Howard Hunt.

Jack Ruby, the man who assassinated Lee Harvey Oswald, tried for years to convince leaders to allow him to testify regarding all that he knew about the assassination of Kennedy... but no one would call him.And he died with his story untold... he died of cancer in his jail cell.

I have never taken the time to trace the roots of the assassin of Robert Kennedy... his assassin was Sirhan Sirhan... a Saudi Arabian man.  You need to keep in mind that the article about the involvement of the Bush Family with "Killers of Americans"   includes the Bin Laden family.  Saudi Arabians account for George, Jr.'s road to personal wealth.

There's so much more to tell you.  And everything I've told you is already documented by reputable, independent news sources on this web site.  And more and more is revealed all the time.

It would be reasonable to ask why I decided to say all this, when it hasn't been said before... it has all been said before, many times, often in closed circles where people felt safe from threat of personal harm... it's been said in bits and pieces over the years in the news and in lectures and in books. What hasn't been done before is the connection of the dots...

And it would be reasonable to ask the question, why now? And then why me.  All I can tell you about that is that some of the best advice I've ever received was in one cliche:  when you see a sleeping dog, kick it... and of course, I'm not talking about dogs.  I'm talking about lies, fraud, deception, cheats, swindlers, criminals... the kind that have purposefully robbed us of savings and retirement plans...

And then you might ask another reasonable  question... why hasn't anyone come forward with these accusations before?  The answer is complex. They have been brought up.  But, like the election of 2000, people were so shocked that they were conned into keeping their mouths shut.  Or, the deceptions were so great that nobody would believe. Because these acts and deeds were so aggregious, that noone would believe that these fine men, these leaders, would ever do such atrocities.  But they do them, every day.  But, because of the ability to suppress and control most media outlets, the government, the people who I'll call the bad guys, have been able to keep the secrets quiet.

The facts of the Kennedy assassination were suppressed by a Congressional Panel... who told us that ne man killed Kennedy... although, if you review the Zapruder film... the film made by an amateur photographer of the killing...anyone who knows anything about guns and bullets could tell you that his assassination by one man... given the trajectories of the bullets used... the forensics... well, the story we were told simply could not possibly be true.  And the records surrounding the Warren Commission's Reports have been legislatively sealed and resealed... I believe the next theorhetical release date of that info is somewhere in 2020... and I can't imagine that if we ever see the facts, that the real information will still be there.

But Gerald Ford and Arlen Specter know the truth.  They should tell it now.   This is the time, if you are truly patriots pledged to the security of this nation.   Before it's too late.  Before history records your involvement with infamy that will never fade.

So why do I do this now.  First, because someone someday must if the United States is to remain United and Free.  The conspiracies that have undermined our economy and social fabric have been purposeful and evil, and they must be stopped now, before we go beyond the point of no return.  But, like I say, don't take my word for it.   Everything you need to know is on this website, from independent sources.

And, on top of it, my father instructed me take action when the events and circumstances we live with now presented themselves.  If I have done nothing more in my life, I have honored my father and mother.

And, then, there's the Bible and my incredible faith in God.

But there's so much more having to do with current events.  All modeled on the events of the past.

Today, Congress released reports regarding the events leading to 911... what is coming out is tantamount to treason.  First, because the Bush Administration, which claims that no one could have imagined that terrorists would have used planes to attack the World Trade Center and the Pentagon... this despite the fact that it has been a known method since 1994, and as recently as April 2001, at the time John Ashcroft began using private aircraft instead of commercial carriers.  The article about Bush's family above contains information on this.

And there are plenty more incidents and intelligence reports that suggested it was not only thought of, it was probable.  According to sources, the CIA and FBI have made no real changes to their procedures and practices in order to provide more security.   and if you connect the dots between the Bin Laden Family and the Bush Family... you might come to some pretty grim conclusions.

Afghanistan?  That had nothing to do with liberating the Afghans from the Taliban.   It wasn't about Al Qaeda or Bin Laden.  It was about oil... bringing in oil from the Caspian Sea, a landlocked sea that has a huge supply of oil requiring a pipeline in order to deliver it and profit from.  And, when negotiations broke down, a very convenient terrorist attack came upon this nation.  It was a very real attack... that should have been prevented.  Experts say it was preventable.  But don't believe me, look around this site, and look at CNN... it's all there.

The not so funny thing is, I connected the dots on 911 in less than 3 months... our intelligence agencies have been in the business for years and years.  After discovering what I know, I even called a Seanator's office to inform them that the idea of a computer system at the FBI having only one search parameter on the database... and other technical details... that it was absurd and incomprehensible.  One of my favorite Seantors, by the way... maybe someday I'll tell you who.  And when I asked them if they knew they were being lied to, they got scared and nervous, like it was a big secret they weren't supposed to talk about.  Not out of national security, either.

But because the Department of Ashcroft goes around letting people know that to do anything except go along, they will be publicly ostracised as unpatriotic.

It's like how in Denver, they have investigated thousands of people who belong to peace organizations and grassroots lobbying groups... and even though these people have committed no crimes, the records of their investigation have been made public.   That's a clear usurpation of authority and access too private information.  At best, it is an attempt to begin the process that Hitler used to let people like me know that if you oppose this regime, you will regret it.

Now, the oil magnates of the world with the aid of George Bush want Iraq.  Is Iraq an enemy of the United States? I wouldn't doubt it.  If I was given the green light by the United States to invade and defend its oil from Kuwait, only to be attacked by the greatest coalition of forces since World War II... and then place sanctions on the country and create such hardship that more than 1.5 million people died... and now, the Bush family wants to attack Iraq, and kill Hussein.

And the best reason I can find that they would have is in oil... except for the fine print of a book bu Machiavelli called The Prince that you could pick up at any book store for probably less than $10... it's sort of the Bible on how to gain power and overthrow governments... and is considered a legitimate training manual for world leaders, and with good cause.  It tells you everything you need to know.  Including paragraph after paragraph stating that, to perform a successful and enduring coup, you must kill all those who were "damaged" in the process of the coup... sort of like how they did with Bill Clinton politically during and after his presidency... make him look stupid to   undermine his credibility... which they'll never do in my eyes... but you just mainly have to make sure that those you overthrew are not in the position to rise up against you.

You can imagine that Saddam would not like George SR after the betrayal he issued to Saddam.  It's no wonder Hussein tried to kill him... right or not.  It's just understandable. Just as it's understandable why George Jr would cause Hussein to maybe make the U.S. a target... because Hussein's the most likely person to seek revenge in the game called Princedom... and that would make the U.S. a target... the Bush Family is making us a target, and it has nothing to do with the will of the people.

Here's the other odd thing... the bible says that in these times, the deception would be so great that the sons would do what the fathers wouldn't... and even applying that phrase gets tricky.

SR wouldn't take out Saddam, but JR would.  SR wouldn't launch world war III, but JR would.

Billy Graham SR would never preach to churchgoers that they should place themselves in a class above Muslims for the purpose of causing people to hate other people.  That's not the lessons of the Bible or the word of God...But Franklin Graham... his son does.

Why is Iran in the axis of evil?  Start with the fact that the CIA propped up a man called the Shaw of Iran.. Back then it was about oil and strategic placement of weapons supposedly in response to the Soviet Threat against us. And then, we were kicked out because the Iranians were tired of our interference with their government and culture... see, Americans have this history of wanting the rest of the world to do it our way... imagine someone coming to America and saying, lay down your weapons, or we'll nuke you...

Imagine some other country placing sanctions on the U.S. to the extent that Americans began to die from the hardships. It wouldn't be tolerated.  But we expect every other nation to comply with our demands.

This country says we pride ourselves on the idea that we never strike the first blow... we don't start wars... and yet, in World War II, when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor... we sank the first Japanese mini-sub an hour before the main attack... away from the harbor... but no one alerted the crewmen on the ships and the people on the island.   Instead, the United States allowed the attack so that we could claim we were provoked.

There are so many lies in our history that can only serve political and financial goals...

And yet... Cynthia McKinney was literally made out to be crazy for suggesting that there should be an investigation after 911 to see if we can "follow the money" to see if and who made money off the 911 attacks... again, the article about the Bush Family above goes into that.

Patrick Leahy recently suggested that there be an inquiry as to whther the West Nile Virus should be investigated as a potential tool of terrorism...  and was treated as if he was crazy.

I always say, when people want something kept quiet that much, there must be something to hide.

Now, the Bush Administration is trying to rush through legislation to skip environmental reports for the purpose of pushing through transportation projects... why?   So by election time, he can tell America that he's creating better transportation and more jobs... what he won't tell you is that he's willing to wreck the environment further by doing it...

Bush claims he's giving us a tax break... maybe on that IRS form he is... but how much are you losing because of 401k and investment losses?  Did you know there is an obscure, minimum tax that will be taxing about 36 million Americans by 2010. But, by then, George will have inherited his money from Dad... and the corporations will have taken over.

And in this report, we won't even talk about the Free Trade Areas of the Americas... but it's the biggest single danger to jobs for Americans that there ever was.

The Bush administration claims that marijuana is the cause of exposing our children to the evils of drugs and crime... and what do they do?  They go after a marijuana farm in Santa Cruz, Ca that was operating legally according to California State Law to serve patients who had legal prescriptions for it, to alleviate the pain and suffering of people with cancer and aids and other diseases.

There is no compassion with these people.  They demand compliance.  Name me one bill that actually serves the interests of Americans as a whole... I'm not talking about the patron churches he wants to give your tax money to. That's the biggest ruse there ever was.  And if you think the welfare to work program is a success, ask the people living in the streets about it.  Ask the thousands of American's who lost their jobs and pensions, whose unemployment benefits will run out... to whom welfare benefits are not available... and when they end up on the streets, ask them how they feel about welfare to work.

The United States constantly passes legislation to deal with issues... sounds real good in the press... but then, they don't fund it. So it never happens.  Of course, there are no press conferences to announce that.

Bush places pressure on Congress to pass legislation quickly... for the purpose of   backing political opponents in a corner... knowing full well that lies will be told to make it seem like they did something wrong, when what they've done is stand up for Americans.  But the Republican propaganda machine is powerful, just like Hitler's.   In fact, it was modeled after Hitler.  They actually studied Hitler videos to perfect the techniques.

And they're about to begin the genocide of the Arab people supposedly to save a nation like ours that claims to be righteous.  That is supposedly Christian, and better than Muslims.  How dare they.  God did not tell us to judge otheres. He said judge not, lest you be judged.  But Americans have been lied to, and manipulated into believing that it all is true, that killing instead of seeking peaceful means is the right thing to do.  The ignorance of the facts must end now.

It's time for Americans to become educated and aware of the truth before it kills us.   Right now. Right now.

In the South, there are large numbers of people who believe that the South will rise again, that the Southern States will overthrow the government and take over this land, and replace our Constitution with their own laws... the oppression that was fought against in the Civil War...  I saw it as no coincidence that the flag at the WTC memorial on September 9th ripped in half as it did... the Bible, after all, said that these people would forecast their actions.

And now, Donald Rumsfeld testifies that people, alot like me, don't understand that the issue with Iraq isn't inspections, it's about disarmament.. but they lie when they do not acknowledge  that the inspections ARE about disarmament in the first place.   They'll lie and tell you anything to whip you into a fervor to get you to support a war to do away with his father's enemy, and to secure oil.

Right now, there are 800 US Soldiers waiting to go into Yemen, supposedly to take out Al Qaeda, but more likely, to attack the Hezbollah on behalf of Israel.

The Bible says I'm to inform Israel that its leaders have been deceived, and that the leaders have deceived the people.  But, it also says, they won't listen.  Until later. When a supposed ally destroys Israel.

I could go on and on about the Bush Administration... and probably should.. maybe tomorrow I'll tell you about the civil war we'll likely see, and the wrath of other nations coming down upon us for becoming an aggressor nation... for we will be the cause of the deaths of 2/3 of the earths human and animal population... how you'll need to learn to survive, if you survive, in post apocalyptic times... back to the old west... althoughthe prognosis for adults is worse than bleak...remember, as humans are used and/or bred like livestock, the greatest meat is in the older animals... I wish I was lying about this, but I'm not.  We may be the dominant species now.. but not for long.

Dna experiments gone awry will bring us predator animals cloned back into existence.. we are already seeing the cloning of children... Jurassic Park is not as big a fantasy as you might think... and the part I really wish I didn't have to think about is what area 51 has to do with it all... wha Mulder was after was ot as far fetched as you might think... did you know that Australia has developed the equivalent of warp drive?  It will go from Australia to California in approximately 2 hours... 1/8th the normal time.

We're about to begin a season of storms like never before seen... killer storms... killer drought...extreme weather of all kind... maybe extreme by, let's say, having no rain...or having snow at odd times...  earthquakes will begin to occur, as they are now, more frequently and stronger around the world... typhoons and monsoons have killed thousands in Asia already this year.  And this is not normal.  They say the pollution is causing the bulk of the problem. It actually changes the shape of rain drops... as if the dirt causes the rain to collect more water before falling.

But we have a choice, but not much time.  If we  truly begin to live by what we say are our religious values... if we expel the people and the practices that have lead us all to believe that corruption is the way things are done... if we realize that we have been trained to do the wrong things for the wrong reasons by people who would only profit from us, then we can create a new world.  By choosing it. It's alot like the Matrix... if you can think it, you can do it.  And this is not a pep talk.  This is the bottom line.

God made for us a planet meant to be beautiful and whole and in balance.  When you drive across the United States, what was available was majestic hills and woodlands, vast prairies and deserts... huge mountains and an abundance of wildlife... plenty of food and clean water...and our children growing and prospering in a healthy environment.

And I know, you're thinking we already have that... But think about Japan... did the people of Japan choose to attack us,or did their leaders attack us? You need to understand that the Bush Administration is making us very unpopular with the leaders of other nations.

Other nations see the need to cause peace and peaceful coexistence... North and South Korea are opening up travel between the two nations... 6 warring tribes in the Congo area of Africa have decided to quit their war and join forces in order to defend their lands from the invading British and American troops... Sudan is making peace with a group in their country that has been waging a limited civil war for nearly 20 years.

And later...   It's so inconvenient to deal with ongoing inspections..poor government..  boo hoo.  I say, inspect em for 1000 years if that keeps the weapons suppressed... better than spending billions to kill civilians and ruin the planet.  George is wrong.   Congress is going along.  No guts.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2002, NATIONAL MARCH ON WASHINGTON DC with a joint action in San Francisco

As for marijuana, who's going to believe the Bush Adminsistration?   Only a fool.  But they're right, kids shouldn't use maiijuana because it effects development.  Which is a better reason to legalize and  control it.   As for the negative effects of marijuana smoke, remember, people smoke very little marijuana to get high.  And you can always drink it in teas.  Comparing cigarettes to marijuana is apples and oranges.  And marijuana is not a gateway drug:   it is expoure to sources of harder drugs.  Quit the rhetoric and make sense.   Otherwise, all you do is make users more determined and more defiant.  And you give more young people reason tonot believe the government.

George Bush thumbs his nose at the world and the United Nations everyday. That's why the European Union has sought sanctions against us through the WTO.   hyposcrisy and propaganda.  That's the policy of the Bush Adminsistration.   Stand up to Goliath with the weapon of truth!  Deal with the threats to our security before it's too late.  And the threat is occupying the White House.

THE PROPAGANDA AND LIES MUST STOP NOW.  IT'S TIME FOR THE TRUTH TO EMERGE!

Even later edition:   I really thought thought our Congress had the guts to speak the truth and stand up for American Values & Principles.  There will be thousands of people in the streets to vote against this government, and will it increase and increase until this government is exposed.

We'll just pray that the leaders of the rest of the world will see this aggressive government for what it is, and stand up to it.  Play it safe with the polls... don't take a stand for the truth... don't take a stand for justice... try to pawn off responsibility for an administration out of control and drunk with power to the rest of the world... it's just another demonstration to the world that the United States has lost its integrity.  United in resolve?  Only if you own an oil company and can say dubya.

That's the last chance I give Congress to act like Americans - Remember give me liberty or give me death? It has nothig to do with using intimidation tactics on a weaker nation in order to win elections.

Bonus: George Bush's Global Policies - A flash presentation

[Sorry 'bout the noise at the end - my dog wanted to say something too]

What a tale of synchronicity I have to tell you... I love that stuff... back in   my high school days at Soquel High School in Santa Cruz, California, I used to get together with a group of 12 other friends and students... and we used practice psychic skills... and we got pretty good at it... it was alot of fun.  But, I chose not to use it as a tool to benefit myself, because it would be lacking in integrity to do so.

Santa Cruz is a pretty magical place. Home of a fairly famous place called the Mystery Spot...  I had one friend later on who actually lived there... and I had a place on top of the hill above it... it was great.  It was a place made into an apartment... it was large, but it had been the stable of a large farm years before.  I slept in the loft upstairs, with a skylight just above my head.. and when the moon was full, I just couldn't sleep at night.

When I'd get up in the morning at 5am, I'd go outside on the back porch where my shower was and stand there naked to the world, though there was no one to see me... and I'd stand in the steaming hot water and watch the sun coming up, as I viewed the beautifully wooded valley that stretched for about 20 miles and finally ended the panorama purveying the beaches and off into the horizon over Monterey Bay.  The address was 1 High Gate Road.  I called it the heavenly valley.

And there were lots of animals.. raccoons and deer, mountain lions and bears and an amazing variety of birds.  It was a peaceful, magical place. And Santa Cruz has a heritage that is a shining example of people caring for their community.. they always have, and they always will.  And I really miss the Crepe Place.  It's a little restaurant I went to every night at exactly the same time for months, after a friend and I did our nightly 3 trips on the roller coaster down at the boardwalk. Got a song in the mix about that one tonight.

And with that, I've actually outlined what I'm going to talk about tonight.  Now, all you have to do is figure out how all that relates to the topics that actually come up.

I want to start off by talking about heritage.  Heritage is important.  It's what older generations pass down to new generations.  It's the legacy of a nation It's the fabric of a society. It's the tradition and values illustrated in story and picture that allow us to imagine what our predecessors had in mind.   It's what we base our interpretations of how the world should be  are based upon.

A few nights back on CNN's Newsnight with Aaron Brown, the guest was one of my most beloved TV heroes... littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) Walter Cronkite.  For those of you a little too young to remember him, Walter Cronkite was a pioneer in the television news business. He was a hero to Americans, and in the year he retired as the anchorman at CBS News, a poll was taken and he was identified as the single most trusted man in America.  He must have felt so honored. He ended each broadcast with the phrase "And that's the way it is" ,  and you know what, it was.

As Aaron Brown reported, "He went to Vietnam and found the war a failure. And when he came back and said so, the President, Lyndon Johnson, knew it was over."

BROWN: How do you think the press -- television and print -- how do you think it's done, not with 9/11, but since 9/11, since, in dealing with some of the complicated and difficult issues that extend beyond the attack itself?

WALTER CRONKITE: I think it's done fairly well with a very difficult set of circumstances, a very seriously difficult set of circumstances.

When you've got a terribly aggressive administration, in all of its policies, one that is not inclined to share information with the press in the first place, and which is proposing solutions to our very difficult problems today, which we must admit they are faced with, that require a great deal of explanation, a lot of looking into, they're not inclined to share -- the administration -- this with the Congress or with the people in any other way.

To delve into that looks as if it is somehow or other unpatriotic. We've got to be awfully sure that we understand what patriotism is.

Patriotism is the, is one's devotion to what one believes to be right for his or her country and its policies and its performance. That may not agree necessarily with the policy of the administration itself.

We have a right to stand up and say, wait a minute. Hold it a minute. That's possibly wrong. Let's look at this.

Well, the press has to be a leader in that. The press has to be the most skeptical, so that the people do not become cynical.

It has to say, wait just a minute. Just a minute. Let's go through that once more time. What did you say? And how does it apply to this situation precisely? BROWN: Do you think we have been, as a group, timid? Timid in saying we need to go with those troops in Afghanistan? Timid in saying, where are those detainees? What is being done with them? Timid in any of these respects?

CRONKITE: Without a question of a doubt. And our timidity in this matter of being able to cover our troops in action in Afghanistan does not -- I cannot explain.

I do not know why the press of this country has laid down and played dead over this issue, when it is fundamental, it seems to me, in regards to our freedom of speech and press, our right to know, what the forces that we send into a foreign country to act in our name, we are not entitled to know what they're doing in our name.

That to me just does not follow at all what I would call a democratic process.

There's a whole lot more to that interview, too.  It's great. It's about half way down the page in the transcript. It sure says alot about the responsibility Americans have to speak out and take part in protecting freedom. And the difference between the way things were then, and now.

Now for my favorite... no actually, my least favorite part of this... well maybe my favorite... Bush-ims... and it's hard to pick just one or two a day from the Bush-ism rich environment to comment on...

The Bushism - Vague promises aren't going to cut it in the election by Jeb Bush... he was complaining today that Democrats just point out the many failings in his administration as Florida's Governor... as if there aren't any... and then says they shouldn't talk because they're supposedly not proposing any new ideas.. the thing is, Jeb, you're the governeor... just for the fun of  it, tell us what you're going to do to take responsibility for the messes your administration has caused and allowed.  Look yourself in the miror, Jeb.

In the world of George...  clearly the Bush Administration is disappointed that the world is being so reasonable about trying to prevent war, mass destruction and another generation of foreign groups that hate us... there's a word I found in the dictionary the other day that I believe applies to the situation regarding Iraq's willingness to receive U.N. Inspectors... the word is... negotiate... unless the only thing you're interested in is war.

But there's a whole lot more going than just the Iraqi situation that should remind you of the pattern of policies implemented by the Bush Administration.

littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) WASHINGTON (AP) -- A federal judge Tuesday held Interior Secretary Gale Norton in contempt for failing to heed his order to fix oversight problems with a trust handling hundreds of millions of dollars in royalties from Indian land.

U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth called the department's handling of the Indian money and the action of government attorneys in the case disgraceful, and found four specific instances where the department committed fraud on the court.

Norton is the third Cabinet officer that Lamberth has held in contempt over the trust fund

In a 267-page opinion, the judge said the Interior Department not only failed to comply with his order to account for the money in the Indian accounts, but lied to the court about its efforts to repair the trust and protect Indian money.

"The agency has indisputably proven to the court, Congress, and the individual Indian beneficiaries that it is either unwilling or unable to administer competently the (Indian) trust," Lamberth wrote.

"Worse yet, the department has now undeniably shown that it can no longer be trusted to state accurately the status of its trust reform efforts. In short, there is no longer any doubt that the secretary of Interior has been and continues to be an unfit trustee-delegate for the United States."

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A veil of secrecy will begin to rise Wednesday when a congressional committee reveals some of the information that U.S. spy agencies knew about suspected terrorist activity before the September 11 attacks -- including the disclosure that analysts knew al Qaeda had previously plotted to use aircraft as terrorist weapons.

The recently declassified documents will be made public for the first time during an open hearing of the joint House-Senate Intelligence Committee.

(Correction: 3,000) September 17, 2002 Posted: 12:18 PM EDT (1618 GMT)
KNOXVILLE, Tennessee (CNN) -- Residents evacuated after a sulfuric acid leak near Knoxville, Tennessee, were allowed to return to their homes Tuesday morning.

Only a small section on Turkey Creek Road at the accident site remained closed. Residents were told officers would be in the area to assist residents.

The leak began Sunday morning when a Norfolk Southern freight train derailed about 20 miles southwest of Knoxville, rupturing a tank car carrying sulfuric acid. No casualties were reported from the accident or from the ensuing toxic spill, police said.

Authorities evacuated 3,000 people from the populous Turkey Creek and Farragut communities, emergency officials said, and put another 8,000 under a voluntary evacuation notice or warned them they could be subject to evacuation.

The Norfolk Southern train was en route from Allentown, Pennsylvania, to Birmingham, Alabama, and had 141 cars and three locomotives, said Susan Terpay, a company spokeswoman. She said 24 cars and two locomotives derailed.

The cause of the accident, which happened at 11:23 a.m. Sunday, was being investigated.

Only one of the derailed cars contained the chemical, known as "fuming sulfuric acid," Terpay said.

Terror scare men: 'We want our dignity back'

September 17, 2002 Posted: 9:19 AM EDT (1319 GMT)

MIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- Three medical students -- the focus of a terrorism scare on a Florida interstate last Friday -- said public prejudice against Muslim Americans is more responsible for igniting a fear that they could be terrorists than anything they might have said.

"We're here to make it clear to the public that we want our dignity back," Ayman Gheith, 27, said Monday on CNN's "Larry King Live."

"We value human life, and this is why we chose to become doctors -- to protect human life," he said. "Not only did I mourn 9/11, I have friends that are directly affected by 9/11. I had friends who had family members who were in the building."

Gheith; Kambiz Butt, 25; and Omer Choudhary, 23, were detained for hours Friday by Florida officials on suspicion of carrying explosives. No explosives were ever found.

And Finally, I'll mention that FBI Director Robert Mueller has asked African American educators to encourage their students to become FBI agents... on the surface, it's a seemingly harmless request, but it's the beginning of the infiltration of the schools to train children to become independent of their parents... it's the same way Germany caused its youth corps long ago... eventually  leading to parents living in concern that their children will turn them in to authorities for ... say example.. voicing an opinion contrary to the current administration.

Before this country gets righteous about Iraq's obligations to the United Nations, I think I've shown a little more of why I believe this administration has true interest in the will or welfare of the people.  When he visited the school in Nashville today, the anniversary of the signing of the Constitution, he recited once again the pledge of allegiance with "God" included... had to get that in.. and then ewxplained the heritage and importance of the pledge of allegiance.

My suggestion to George would be, instead, to read the Constitution to them, and then explain what that means... if he can. I have my doubts.

Now that's out of my blood, let's talk about something good.. something an artist has done...

littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) Jolie donates $100,000

GENEVA (AP) -- Film star Angelina Jolie has donated $100,000 to provide food for Western Sahara refugees, United Nations aid agencies said Friday.

The American actress, who is a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, gave the money to UNHCR and the World Food Program to help support some 155,000 refugees living in camps in southeastern Algeria.

"I was distressed when this desperate situation was brought to my attention. I hope to encourage other people to make themselves aware of this crisis facing the Western Saharan refugees and do what they can to help," Jolie said in a statement.

Artists are like that... they like to give...  in lots of  ways.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is going to replace its current feature exhibit after December.  The current feature is of John Lennon.  It will be replaced, though he will not be replaced, by an exhibit of U2.

Synchronicity and enteretainment too..  we try to pack it in...

So, a couple of weeks ago I was thinking of a theme for the Union, and I thought... well, Have it your way would be good.. but it's in use and I  didn't want to be accused of advertising for Burger King, though I eat there often... And that's when I came up with the idea of Imagine It's A Whole New World... All You Have To Do Is Want It... nonetheless... hold the pickle hold the lettuce has haunted me for years...

So yesterday, I was practicing my singing and thought, at one point, I kind of sound like a baritone Art Garfunkel.. and then I turned on the tv, and there was Simon and Garfunkel in Central Park on www.pbs.org a great show... that I watched most of.  But I was much more concerned with watching the premier of Everwood on WB... for some reason I was drawn to it... and then I cut the broadcast... and ended it by nearly singing loving every minute of it.

So I'm watching Everwood... I wonder if it really exists. Looks like I could be happy there.. and this Burger King commercial comes on and it ends with the people singing Loving Every Minute of It.  Okay.  So then, a few minutes later, there were music vocals in the background of the soundtrack.. and I couldn't find it in the credits, but it had to have been Art Gunfunkel.  Maybe I'll meet him one day.  His album Watermark is one of my all time favorites.. it was a tribute to the great songwriter Jimmy Webb who wrote such hits for Glen Campbell as "By the Time I Get To Phoenix" and "Galveston", as well as the hit  "Up, Up and Away" for the Fifth Dimension... another of my favorite groups... 2 more favs out of that group of artists include songwriter Laura Nyro, and the hot duo Ashford and Simpson, all of whom wrote numerous hits as writers as well..

By the way, today is the 54th Birthday of a member of the Fifth Dimension... Roger McLemore... However, last week, Ron Townson, singer in the group, passed away at the age of 68.

In the stock market..as the United States prepares to spend another $100 billion dollars on an unnecessary war... it goes down.  Another 200 points.   Let's have a good day on Wall Street.  There's plenty of information out there to help you make good decisions.

For example... when you look at how Tyco managed its money and how executives milked a company to death, you can easily see the differerence between that, and the case of Jack Welch who negotiated a package that was quite reasonable at the time it was made, based on the positive performance of General Electric... he earned it.. but in these times when the government promises to promote the image of business.. and does nothing... people like Jack Welch get demonized in the hysteria to identify villains, where they don't exist sometimes.  Like in the case of Jack Welch.  By the way, he's stated he's willing to give back part of his package to make it more fair in current economic times... you haven't heard anything like that from Kenneth Lay of Enron... have you?

GE, by the way, is one of the companies that is going to begin listing stock options as an expense.

Stories I haven't at all forgotten about... OJ and Robert Blake... Earthquakes... What's Her Name Coulter and her new book Slander... The Gulf of Tonkin and the reason you voted for George Bush.  Somehow, I have a feeling they'll start coming out soon. It's almost timely.

By the way... the recent reports of black bears attacking humans should not be all that unexpected.  It's a simple formula... as humans use and burn and pollute more and more of their native hunting lands, wild animals will come seeking food and water... strange critters actually think they have a right to live here too.

And it will likely occur more and more with a variety of species as we ignore global warming and "trim" our forests in ways that harm the animals for the benefit of humans... that's why I urge you to check out GRASP.. the United Nations

littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) Emergency Must Read The Great Apes Survival Project .  It's all about how these gorillas, apes and monkeys... our closest evolutionary relatives are deaperately facing extinction... and why that should concern you.

And with that..

Speaking of natural things... Santa Cruz council members did, indeed, provide marijuana to legitimate patients to whom medical marijuana was prescribed.   Thus far, the Bush administration has chosen to compassionately allow it to occur without incident.  I applaud them for that.

One of the things that struck me most about the event, though, was a dissenter with a sign that read "My local officials are supporting illegal drugs"... at first, I thought, she's got a point.  But the truth is, it's not accurate. Because in this case, her local officials were in compliance with local laws.

The Trickle-down economists love the idea of returning power to the states for the purpose of relieving government of the burden of tending to the well-being of the people.. but apparently not on what they would call moral issues... sounds like the obscenity case trials all over again to me.  And the judgement was that obscenity was to be judged based on local values.  Sounds to me like the Feds lose... in an honest court.

I want to remind you that when you get frustrated with the world and what's going on on how your life is going, there's only one thing to do...  close your eyes, take three slow, deep breaths, and imagine it's a whole new world... all you have  to do is want it... you can see what it looks like, you can smell it, and it's within your reach.  All you have to do is want it.  When you open your eyes, the world will become what you've seen.

One final note for the night... to Al Gore... Al, I know it's too soon for you to announce... and I know it's not exactly fashionable for anyone to align themselves with me at this point, but that will change... one of these days when I announce my candidacy for the vice presidency, I just want you to know I'll run a good, clean campaign... get the slander out of the way... but no matter what, I just want you to know, I'll keep the presidential slot open for you. And I'll even vote this time.

That's a wrap...

PS  Hello to GrAmMaMoSeS :} Here, there and everywhere. :}

[Note: Catch Simon & Garfunkel live in Central Park on PBS.   It's Great]

It's raining in the rainforest again!  I take that as a very good sign...

Well, as usual,  take a day off, and things start to go to hell.   It's true, look around.  Wildlife is being killed, people are being falsely accused and imprisioned, 30,000 people were evacuated from Knoxville because of a sulfuric acid release... and I'm concerned we're witnessing the beginning of the next holocaust.   It must stop, now.

There's a new soap opera:  As the dog wags.

We have a lot to talk about... I always like to pay tribute to a great person in the world.. we'll do that, and we'll take a closer look at the Bush Administration's agenda, we'll hit the reset button on the important issues that are being forced out of the media by the incredible propaganda campaign being waged by the Bush administration to cause Americans to become concerned about their safety and to support an unjust war... and I've got a few tidbits of synchronicity, as well as some fun entertainment news.

First, I want to remind you that when you get frustrated with the world and what's going on on how your life is going, there's only one thing to do...  close your eyes, take three slow, deep breaths, and imagine it's a whole new world... all you have  to do is want it... you can see what it looks like, you can smell it, and it's within your reach.  All you have to do is want it.  When you open your eyes, the world will become what you've seen.

I probably shouldn't talk about this but I will. When I began this website, to point out the patterns of behavior by the Bush Administration, and to sort out the differences between what we hear on tv and in the press... statements by our leaders... and the truth about what is occurring.

The truth is a mighty weapon.  It's my weapon.  It's the only righteous weapon.  And it's often feared by those who choose to deceive. That's why I knew that at some point, I would likely be arrested in an effort to suppress the truth.  As George said today, "we'll get them, one by one".  Just remember, don't believe everything you hear.  And like I always say, you don't have to take my word for anything... I don't have to make this stuff up.  There's information all around you.

Someday, I really hope to shake the hands of everyone at CNN, and other news outlets, for the work they've been doing to provide balanced reporting and information to Americans.  I make no apologies for my endorsement of CNN's reporting, and I wish I had the chance to talk to them and get even more info, but that just isn't meant to be right now.  Meanwhile, after 2 years of research, I concluded that they were the most trustworthy news source.  37% of Americans agree.  That's enough affirmation for me.

So, for some reason, I believe the moment of my possible arrest is very near.   Maybe today, maybe soon. First, don't worry about me.  I'll be fine, no matter what.  I have God on my side. And, whatever crimes they may decide to persecute me for, it would only be generated for the purpose of suppression.  I'll be back.   Or maybe they'll show better judgement.

But be sure todo your job.  Spread the truth.  Remind people of the differences between the rhetoric and what's really going on. The truth is out there.   Everywhere.  You just have to be willing to hear it and speak it into existence.  Use your talents to do it.  Poetry, music, art... you have all the tools, everything you need to cause world peace and keep America free.  Use the chatrooms and the internet as long as you can.  And remember, we can change the future.  Synchronicity:  the doorbell just rang.  The words of Ronnie Montrose when I interviewed him pass through my head... jiggers, it's the cops.  But no, it's Airborne Express with a do it yourself Christmas Ornament making kit.   Incredible.

Enough of that. Kind of an ominous way to start, eh?  I just say what God tells me to say.  That's the beauty of it. The beauty God gave us to preserve.  That gut feeling that tells us the difference between right and wrong. It all makes perfect sense.   And it's so easy.

Bushism of the moment.. from my favorite guy in the administration... Don Rumsfeld says it's now the job of Congress to connect the dots... and I couldn't agree more.  Notice that the Administration has now said it demands a U.N. decision within a month... that would prevent them from dealing with the scrutiny of the Marches against the Iraqi war being organized for Washington DC and San Francisco on Octor 26th.

If you can't make it to one of those, make one in your community.  It's not that hard.  I'll bet the littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) International Action Center would be glad to assist you.  If you don't take a stand now, make them count your votes in the street, it may be too late.

The Union... it's coming along great.  Everything takes a little longer than I can think of it.  :}  But that's all part of standing for a vision.  Changing the future.

A little synchronicity... and the honoring of a great man.   Someone we can look to as an example of a good citizen, a man commited to doing good things in the world, someone who understands that the quality of life is far more important than conquests and domination.. and an example of how whenyou take care of the people, the people take care of you.... Congress, did  you hear that?

Back in my radio days, Billboard Magazine was my Bible of the music industry... it was like the radio programmer's guide to staying on the cutting edge of music... and they blazed the trails for the music industry and for people who were blessed with the privilege of  sharing their artistic gifts with the world.

littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) This story comes to us from the Boston Globe.

Remembering Billboard's Timothy White
With a benefit concert, top musicians step up for one who stood up for them
By Steve Morse, Globe Staff, 9/15/2002

Get ready for Whitestock. That's the informal name for the star-studded benefit being held at the FleetCenter Oct. 7 to help the family of deceased Billboard and Rolling Stone music editor and writer Timothy White. The event looks to be the shining beacon of the fall season, with many of the performers headliners in their own right - John Mellencamp, James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Sting, Don Henley, Billy Joel, and ex-Pink Floyd singer Roger Waters. The Boston Show will be followed the next night by a show at Madison Sqauare Garden... that's Don Henley... thinking big.  Expressing a vision.

I do believe the renaissance has begun.

Sheryl Crow summed up what it was about the best:: She said

''I felt that Tim should have been canonized in the music industry for his fortitude in protecting artists' rights and for staying in a lower-paying job, when he'd been offered so many other high-profile opportunities, because he believed that what he was doing was important and that someone must guard and defend the sacredness of music and those who make it.''

The story goes on:

The artists respected White for his honest and prolific music coverage through the years, dating back to his tenure with Crawdaddy magazine in the '70s. And they appreciated his editorial support of the Recording Artists' Coalition, which two years ago lobbied Congress to repeal ''work for hire'' legislation supported by major record labels. The legislation classified all master studio recordings as ''works for hire'' that would ultimately belong to the labels, thus choking off artists' rights. White even spoke out on the issue in Washington, D.C., and helped get the law repealed.

Now, what will the money raised by these concerts be for?   More from the article...

White's Beacon Hill-based family, which includes his widow, Judy, and twin 10-year-old sons (one of them autistic). White edited Billboard magazine until his death of a heart attack at age 50 on June 27.   White was one of those guys so commited to his causes, that, while life ws never boring, he certainly wasn't rich.  And the people he cared for in the arts are reciprocating.

''We didn't really call anybody to do this benefit,'' says Mellencamp, who was a pallbearer at White's funeral. ''They all called and volunteered on their own.''

There's a good chance that some of the artists will join one another onstage. ''It would be a dream for me to see Sting and James Taylor play together,'' says Mitch Glazer, a close friend of White (and a fellow journalist) who has helped organize the concerts. ''The possibilities are spectacular, and I know that Steve Jordan, the musical director, is open to them.''

You might not think of it this way, but I think that's all about the real America... community... a beautiful expression.  I'll be there in my heart.

Since I'm on entertainment and apparently have become the primary PR agent for littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) James Taylor.. I had to catch to his show on Pay Per View again last night... didn't realize it was on until, for some reason, I noticed the story from the Boston Globe.. I figure if I listen to October Road 3 or 400 more times, I'll remember the words.  He's got a song that's always haunted me, too... Hey Mister that's me upon the jukebox... one of those songs you love but effect you so deeply...

But hey, James.. you have some competition.. I finally sat down and listened carefully to littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) Bruce Springsteen's new album... The Rising... what a beautiful masterpiece it is.  Not what I expected.  The lyrics are beautifully woven into a collage of music that pays tribute to the victims and survivors of 911... but more importantly, so eloquently expresses the rage and pain of the losses of our friends.    And it sort of provides a road map to complete the process of grieving and healing as well. God Bless You Bruce... what a gift to the world.

Now the hard news, littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) and it's pretty hard.

Just about the time I was thinking that Secretary of State Colin Powell was a true statesman and ambassador to the world for peace and conflict resolution, in his position as Secretary of State, after all, but he's now become part of the choir, singing the demand to attack Iraq no matter what. But at least the administration's motives are becoming crystal clear in th eyes of the world.

They say that they've made progress in negotiations with the UN Security council... I can't help but wonder what intimidations or implied threats may have really been discussed.

littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Secretary of State Colin Powell said Sunday that U.N. weapons inspectors must be allowed to go "anywhere, anytime" if they returned to Iraq -- rejecting that country's conditional offer to allow inspections to resume.

"If they have no weapons, what are they hiding?" Powell said on littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) CNN's "Late Edition With Wolf Blitzer."

"They find all kinds of excuses, a thousand excuses -- 'There are spies on this team. We don't want this. When are sanctions going to be relieved and removed?' The issue is Iraqi noncompliance, and we should not allow them to move us off that issue."

At a news conference Saturday, Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Aziz said his nation would allow inspectors to return only if the United States doesn't bring military action and if U.N. sanctions are lifted.

-----------

Sounds reasonable to me.

The thing is, unless there's something really important that the administration hasn't told us, the case still hasn't been made to connect the dots to seek such hasty support for a war against Iraq.   It's time for Congress and world leaders to connect the dots and take a courageous stand for peace and resolution... the world we keep saying we want as we stand by and watch it slip away.  Take a stand by expressing your vision for the world... the vision that includes peace and abundance for all.    It is yours to preserve and create, and oyurs to allow to slip away.

I will not stand by.  Because at the heart of America, at the heart of every issue know to the human race, to the animals of the planet, and the planet itself and the environment that allows us all to survive and grow.  It's a true integration of the concepts of creation and evolution... an integration that depends on one single element in the universe.  And that element is justice.

That's why I try to point out the littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) Importance of being Al. Al Gore loves people, he loves justice, and he loves our planet.   I can't wait for the day he announces for President.  By then, maybe he'd let me be his vice-president.

I'm going to run a really good campaign for the people on human justice and empowerment... I figure he's got a better handle on alot of the other important issues.   He's my man.  This was not a paid endorsement.  Although I wish it was.   Maybe I can get a pardon out of it.

I wonder if anyone has actually done that before.. run for vice-president.  That would be kind of fun.  I could see me taking my guitar and traveling across America doing concerts and talking to people and empowering them to take on their own lives and stand for their human rights and freedom and justice and peace and love...

There's someone who's actually done something like that.  At the age of 89, littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) Granny D put on her hiking shoes and walked across America to help you all in the fight for Campaign Finance Reform.   She's still fighting for you in Washington DC as well.  She teamed up withJohn McCain and Russell Feingold, in an informal sort of way... and even though the legislation got watered down, she's the hero that empowered the other heroes who stood up for Democracy.  That's how it works.  Supporting leaders who support the people.

Meanwhile... the recent detainment of the Arab men... medical students who were detained in Florida last week... just in time to instill in Americans that we are surrounded in danger so that we'll support an unjust war... has prompted Gov. Pataki of New York to install a terrorist hotline.

In Germany, one of the first steps to totalitariaism was to cause the citizens of Germany to villify a certain race of people in order to give leaders a target for the frustration and anger needed to induce people to be willing to go to war.  And we see it happening with our Arab brothers and sisters.  You should think about that, as the premise of "innocence before guilt"  is lost in the fervor of the propaganda of the day.

The last thing I want to touch on has to do with my friends in Santa Cruz... they're taking a bold stand for the legalization of the use of medical marijuana.  The administration thinks that this is about drugs. But the legalization of marijuana in whatever is not about drugs.

It's about the will of the people.  The knowledge that, for example, alcohol is a more destructive and addictive substance than marijuana. The knowledge that millions of marijuana users have been prosecuted for using something that has been in use for generations, is a plant that God gave us to use responsibly, and whose prohibition can only benefit the major drug companies that would lose business because of marijuana's many beneficial effects.

Marijuana is not a problem drug.  But I would certainly support the fact that leaving it uncontrolled as a black market commodity only leaves it to be a cash crop of the terrorists and people who would expose our children to even worse extremes... That's the beauty of de-criminalization and control... responsible use and application... and the ability to treat abuse with education and treatment isntead of stigmatization.

It's the same thing that Tipper talks about in regard to the importance of mental health care.

But the bigger issue is the public... especially the next generation of American leaders.. they see a law that makes no sense, that has no honest scientific detractors... and a campaign against it based on corporate interests and governmental propagandist lies that have been told ever since I can remember... and that will be the issue it represents... and why cities like littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) Santa Cruz, (check the Sept. 16th transcript)  and people all over the world... like in the European Union, where it will be legal... people eventually rise to oppose what doesn't make sense.

Pro-cannabis groups gather for annual rally on Common

Dozens of people were arrested yesterday as a crowd of more than 35,000 gathered for the annual pot rally on Boston Common.

Speaking of transcripts, be sure to check out littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) Lou Dobb's area for information regarding Tariq-Aziz' letter to Kofi Anan, which was received as I was writing this... This letter will distiguish the issues that will shape the future of   world opinion and history.  And, the word just came in... Iraq has agreed to weapons inspectors without condition.

I hope the world applauds the government of Iraq for this courageous willingness to set the example for what is possible in the world, and that the United Nations will support them in standing up for the freedom of every person on this planet.  God bless you all.

The renaissance has begun.  And that's a wrap.  Gotta go watch Everwood.

PS  Come on Hillary.  Do it for America.  Do it for yourself.  Do it for the world!

State your name

I had no sooner finished writing this column for the night when I looked up and saw Peter Gabriel on littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) Larry King Weekend... Peter Gabriel sang a beautiful song in memory of the Victims and Survivors of 911... it's Called "I Grieve".   We'll get a link for that Soon.  I have everything of his, including a mint copy of Genesis to Revelations...

Condolances, also, to the family and friends of Johnny Unitas who passed away this week.  He was one of the greatest quarterbacks who ever was.   And a good person too.

I was sitting here thinking of how to start all of this... and then I noticed an article... it was being critical of the Democrats in Florida who couldn't get the polls open and operate the voting equipment, causing the fiasco that occurred because of the apparent loss of votes, people being turned away from the poles... all of this happening in the same places as it happened in Election 2000 when the United States was stolen for purposes of a few people, having nothing to do with the interest of the people.... sound familiar?  anyway... and  then, making Janet Reno out to be laughable for expecting the state to recount the votes... telling her that if the precincts find any votes, they can add them to the count...

I just find it really odd that even Jeb Bush would make it out that the proper conduct of an election has anything to do with party affiliaiton. Personally, I don't care if they're pygmy, if they're incompetant, they should be fired or re-assigned.  1 is bad enough.  2 in a row is.. what's the word?  unacceptable.   Yeah.    Unacceptable.

By MAUREEN DOWD

The Bushes love doing things in secret and without a lot of meddling from know-nothings in Congress and smart alecks in the press. In peacetime, such macho behavior comes across as highhanded, but in wartime, it looks like strong leadership. Critics of a warrior president risk seeming unpatriotic.

The Democrats are shackled; a majority voted against the Persian Gulf war in 1991. After it went off with the detachment of a video game, they were pilloried. Now they fear that if they approach Desert Storm 2 the same way, raising objections about motives, casualties, costs or the postwar strategy, they will be portrayed as McGovernite wimps.

--------

For those who don't know who is being referred to,  Senator McGovern was a presidential candidate in the Viet Nam War Days who had a vision of peace, justice, and honoring the God granted dignity of the human spirit in every person and living and natural thing on this planet.  That's a worthy vision.

And, see, as much as I talk about our legislators, they're not bad.  They all ran for office with the intention of honorably serving this country, and doing goood for the world.  Just like people in the media... that's the real first reason they do what they do.  Just like you when you do the things you love most.

They're put in a tough position by the need to raise huge sums of money to finance campaigns... and you can't blame all of that on them... after all, we as citizens allow a system like that to exist.  And it's our apathy that has allowed advertising tricks to replace discussion of the real issues and remedies of our times.

And then people wonder why the international community doesn't line up behind the current government of the United States...  the scourge of propaganda... it's like a molestation of the mind.

Just a quick note.  Congratulations to Scott Ritter

littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) Person of the Week: Scott Ritter on Time.com
Once expelled from Baghdad for challenging Saddam, the former weapons inspector returned this week to challenge Bush.

I really want to commend him for his courage and willingness to put his expertise and reputation on the line for the cause of conflict resolution and world peace.  He's an example of a statesman we can all learn from. Like I always say about changing the future...  all we really have to do is want it.

And it provides numerous opportunities to be courageous heroes on this planet as we  begin to shape the future.. and as James Taylor calls it, honoring "the kingdom of heaven and the rights of man".   I had to give the kid a plug.  He deserves a shot.  I listen to October Road over and over everytime I write this stuff.

(PS. I caught the 4/4 time thing.)

Bushism of the moment...  "And a regime that has lost its legitimacy will also lose its power."   I like the ring of that.

OK, Bushism of the next moment after that.. and this really isn't a direct criticism... but the most interesting thing I find about that speech is the demand that one country comply with its commitments and the resolutions that supposedly bind it, all the while, the United States policy under the Bush administration is to ignore its commitments to the United Nations whenever it darn well pleases.  Same with the International Court.

And just the time you think, ha, he got 'em... I'm going to fool you... like usual.. The most interesting thing about all of this to me is if everyone agreed to get together and make a comprehensive list of all of the countries and all of the resolutions and agreements that haven't been honored, and not out of spite or vindictiveness, but just as a statement of fact... and then put THAT on a web site... we could all get a better picture of the extent to which we all, as citizens of this planet, do not keep our word with each other in way one or for one reason or another..

And that includes me.  We're all just human after all.  Stuff comes up.   But after a while, it's like expectations... and unfulfilled expectations.. after a while, the resentment or frustration builds up and that frustration expresses itself in some sort of manifestation.  Manifestations like war, broken agreements, a lack of communication, thwarted intentions, undelivered communications... leading to famine, pestilence, AIDS, forest fires, divorce, rape, child abduction, theft and murder in various forms, religious and racial predjudice all out of a defensive mechanism designed to protect us from disappointment ..

I always remember that after my father died when I was 9 or 10, and we had to sell the ranchette I grew up on in the mountains of Santa Cruz.. I had to give up a bunch of things I was used to... like my horse.. so my mom said she'd buy me a new guitar to make up for it... I had a real clunker, but I didn't ask for it.. and the promise of getting that guitar was really special to me... I really wanted it... but, time went on, and no guitar.   The funny thing was, she made more money off the 2 sheds my pack rat dad built to hold all the tools and hardware he collected over the years... she got more money for them than she did for the house and the acreage.  So, she'd run out of money.

But I so wanted that guitar.  And at one point, I got so frustrated that I remember going out into the car in the driveway and closing the windows and yelling.   And I wasn't angry at her.  I didn't blame her at all.  I just remember thinking I wish she hadn't promised it if she wasn't sure she'd be able to, because I was fine with what I had, and I never would have been frustrated about it if she hadn't brought it up.

Most of the time, I get more angry that someone would do something that triggers my anger when most of the time communication of  some sort would have taken care of it... setting realistic expectations... would have made everything alright.  There are ways of dealing with everything so long as you know what you can count on, or have to do without.  I once told a cfo that if he asked me to, I could build him a house... and that even if he only had a nickel to spend, I could find a way to squeeze that nickel so far that it would be the best possible 5 cent house on earth. It may not be a very good house, but it would be the best it could be. After a couple of times of that, he just sort of got out of my way too.  This is the same man who basically created Citibank's automated teller systems and processes years ago.

That's why I keep calling on world leaders to speak their vision.  Not their hatred, not their anger, not representing their national pride in order to say the right thing for the world press... but expressing a vision... a real vision... achievable or not.

For example, for the Palestinians and Israelis, imagine how constructive it might be if they set the tone of negotiations by declaring thoughts like this at the beginning of meetings "I believe in the possibility of the joyful co-existence of all people on this planet... children playing freely without concern for safety, birds and trees and the animals flourishing, and a world of people living healthy and free."

It may seem a little idealistic, but that's a vision.  I always say, if you can identify the goal as a vision of the best possible outcome, the best possible product, then there is the possibility of moving toward that goal step by step or all at once, using bottom up wisdom.  It doesn't mean that there won't be problems, disagreements and miscommunications.  It   just means that there is some agreement as to what would be best, why it would be best, and the benefits of  accomplishing it.

George Bush said "Now is the time to deal with the problem." And I most certainly agree with that. And the Italian Prime Minister says he has a timetable for Iraq to comply.  Here's a question for you Who says they have a right to set that timetable when there is no true urgency?  Really.  Think about that.  They are representatives of the people, not the other way around.  Certainly, they have the authority so long as the authority is granted.  That's what the propaganda war is all about.   Forcing the granting of authority.

By the way, to other leaders:  I can get away with using the word propaganda in this broadcast because people came here to think.  But, in the press, the word is meaningless.Watch how the Israelis adapt their message to the American audience.  That's what the game is about right now.

The thing is, I don't see the problem as being what they think it is.  I disagree with the ploy to place the blame on the back of the United Nations and Kofi Annan, and make it  out like there isn't an ulterior motive to force the world to bow to the superpower. The United States is pushing for action, not the rest of the world.   If the rest of the world is to be considered, then the rest of the world must be allowed to do the work that needs to be done to resolve our grievance with Iraq.  To say the U.S. will do it alone anyway means that the U.N. is just wasting it's time, because the Bush Administration doesn't really care what the rest of the world says anyway.

The game is to blame people who are willing to acknowledge the truth, but the person forcing the confrontations won't acknowledge their own transgressions, and uses the other person's confession as a judgement of guilt instead of an expression of taking the first step toward true resolution of a problem.

I think the problem is with each person involved, the nations, the individual citizens of the world... not stating their visions, and finding ways to integrate those visions with the visions of others. Ultimately, when we compare notes, it's easy to see we all actually want the same things.  I'll let you think about what those things might be, for now.

By the way, I want to applaud the leader of the world in every country for showing their restraint and wisdom in the discussion of the issues before us.  To me, it marks the real beginning of the possibility to change the future of this planet beginning now, step by step, moment by moment, looking in the mirror and laughing at ourselves just a little...

Speaking of Applause... In entertainment... My Big Fat Greek Wedding is a cool picture by someone who, in Northern Exposure, I would have traded jobs with in a flash.  I just can't remember his name.  He played Chris Stevens, Cicely Alaska's only dj, resident guru and radio ventriloquist...  and I'm sure from time to time he wore sunglasses so he could do his radio program incognito.. littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) Signs is great too...  Mel Gibson is fantastic... so is Heath Ledger who co-starred with Mel Gibson in The Patriot, who has another film coming out out called littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) Four Feathers CNN And then there's littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) feardotcom

Meanwhile, since I'm connecting dots... littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) the Sopranos is coming up Sunday... since I like David Chase and Elaine Bracco and Ronnie Van Zandt so much, I decided I'd try watching the program.

And the final thread of this session of six degrees of separation, I'll mention that Ronnie Van Zandt is causing a renaissance of rock and roll by having garage bands do old rock and roll, and broadcasting it on the radio.  And as soon as I find the information, that broadcast will be prominently promoted on this site.  I know you wanted to be "a singer", but tell me, how much louder could your heart possibly be singing when you do something like this?  Hey hey, my, my. (Wasn't Ronnie in .38 Special after Lynyrd Skynyrd? I could be off on that)

Back to more semi-serious matters, in the grand scheme of the absurdity of life...

I have this strange concern over what's going on in Egypt... it makes me worried that Pandora's Box is going to be opened... and then I'll have one more problem to propose answers

littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) Robotic Indiana Jones to penetrate pyramid. Rover goes where no man can to unravel Egyptian mystery - September 14, 2002  CNN. It makes me think of Night of the Living Dead, and this other movie on Pay Per View at the moment called littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) Resident Evil.. I can imagine these scenarios.. given all the DNA experimentation and viruses going around these days.  All it takes is one slip.

littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) The Great Apes Survival Project Gorillas, apes and monkeys... gibbons.  What if the gorillas, and other animals, all decided that we were responsible for destroying the forests and the environment, and because they feel they have the right to live here too, what if they began harvesting us like a food crop, like we do to them.  Just a thought.

But, nonetheless check out this link to the littlebluedot.gif (881 bytes) United Nations/grasp website regarding the survivability of apes and monkeys and gorillas around the world, and how urgent it is that we become responsible for the environment of this planet, since we exploit it so much.

And with that, I think I've used up my allotment of words for the day... you can breathe a sigh of relief now.

I will say thanks for listening, I actually feel honored that you would take the time to listen to my ramblings and opinions, and want to honor you for being willing to consider my ideas, as you develop your own ideas and recommit yourselves to what you know in your heart will benefit us all... I'm sure you'll be able to generate even more and better ideas as we begin to change the future.

That's a wrap.

The research shows that CNN is trusted by 37% of Americans for the most accurate and complete news, a fitting tribute to the original commitment of Ted Turner. Most major market broadcasters settle for 5% or less.  Though I've never talked to any of them, they're my daily briefing on the world events.  Paula Zahn, John King, Wolf Blitzer, Judy Woodruff, Lou Dobbs (who I believe is the single most powerful and influential example of a New Patriot... I call him Uncle Lou...) Jan Hopkins, and ALL the guys on Crossfire... And Connie Chung  does some truly interesting reports on things that make you look a little deeper at things... Aaron Brown, the Pacific Northwest hero...And of course, the Legendary Larry King. I could go on and on... the rest of their programming is incredible too, especially the international stuff.  Use them as the baseline of truth.  And if that changes, I'll let you know.  But I doubt it will.

BTW, I get nothing from CNN for plugging them... just trying to refer everyone to resources they can depend on. There is, however, this satisfaction of knowing I don't have to inform the world by myself. :}
