Most people probably think that I'm talking about the political
"party" currently referred to as the "Tea Party",
but I'm not.
You could say I'm talking about things like "Weapons of Mass
Distraction". I have a little saying taken from a sign along the
side the road that I've turned around a bit that exemplifies the
deception and the results it causes. And keep in mind, I'm not blaming
or criticizing the man who put up the sign that said
"Land of the free because of the brave" Unfortunately,
because of what we call spin, the way the world works and the way we're
manipulated into believing things - the way John Kennedy refers to them
as the myths - that lead us to be misinformed on purpose, as if citizens
are unable to know and cope with the truth and participate in Democracy
as informed partners, and as if we'd approve if we knew where our
leaders were leading us. Because of that, in my own mind, I know the
truth is that this is a nation that is "Land of
the deceived because of the depraved" At the moment, without a
fundamental change in leadership to people who actually want to serve
and represent citizens, it is unlikely that circumstance, and the
generalized minimized failure of Democracy and the corruption that has
caused global depression far worse than the so called Great Depression,
there will be no other future because our leaders are committed to
corporations and ideologies incompatible with the United States
Constitution, and the timeless intent it was created to cause and to
serve. With that in mind, understanding the gift this nation was
possible to give to the world and ourselves, remind yourself again of
the words of Pres. John F. Kennedy, and then consider this: The Truth
about the Tea Party:
The Boston Tea Party was not actually a tax
revolt. It was a disruptive event put on to distract the British, who
wanted to arrest Samuel Adams. The Tea Party gave him the
distraction he needed to get out of town. Think about that, and what
you hear on the news, believe about politicians and the idea that
Democracy is still alive in the United States.
